My BMC SLR01 has seen the most kms fitted with the Lekki 8s, providing strong braking whilst keeping the overall weight of the bike extremely low. The durability has been excellent, and look of this brake set on the BMC was always a head turner.

Ciamillo G20 Brakes I have been using the G20 brakes for about 3 years. This brakeset is being used with Campagnolo levers. These levers were a big improvement over the Campy brakes. I found the Ciamillo brakes offered much better stopping power with my Mavic carbon wheels. Setup was key to getting the brakes to function at their best. I was initially frustrated with the performance. When I went back and re-read the installation instrucions, that made all the difference. Moving the set screw in or out to adjust clearance is key to getting optimal performance from these brakes.

I'm happy customer :-) Ted Ciamillo makes ultra-light brakes for road bikes and the Brompton folding bike from England. I wanted to use the B1 brake for Brompton on my T Line Urban. The pair consisting of front and rear brake weighs only 133 g. That is about 250 g less than the standard brakes. I feel that the braking performance is just as good. My goal is to get the Brompton T Line under 7 kg. The weight saving on the brakes definitely helps. The communication with Ted Caimiello went very well. Ted usually answered quickly (a few minutes to hours, he lives in a time zone six hours away from me). Delivery was delayed due to organisational issues and I was beginning to fear the same thing happening to me that may have happened to other reviewers in the past. Our communication remained professional and solution oriented and eventually the brake was shipped and delivered. Ciamillo B1 I knew Ciamillo brand when they launch zero gravity Gravitas SL back in early 2010, can’t remember exact year. Until recently, I have finally got my hand on a pair of Ciamillo B1 brakes. The quality is amazing, the finishing on the carbon fibre is so good specially the edges, although it’s not cheap, considering the time and effort has been put into it, I think it is worth it. Will update when installed on my Brompton.

The carbon fiber brakes may be overkill in a way, but their "mad genius" design fits perfectly on this insane folding bike. Every detail of the brakes is so well conceived, and the performance is great, with powerful stopping as well as light modulation.
