Horrible experience Hi, I bought Lekki8 from Ted Ciamillo in 2021 and while the product delivered is as stated (light and functional, though does not provide as powerful braking as the heavier mainstream products), I had to wait 3 MONTHS for the product to arrive, following my payment. In the meantime, I was deceived and manipulated by Ted in his procrastinating emails and lost a lot of nerves and time. The delay also messed up my training and racing plans. All in all, I am fortunate not to have been completely robbed by this person. Customer service at Ciamillo is horrible, so take that into account when considering purchasing an otherwise cool product from TC.

Never received my item, still haven't received a full refund. I purchased a product from Ted Ciamillo directly, and was promised a 3 week lead time on it. That date came and went and I repeatedly got new ETAs for my order. Finally I asked for a refund since it became apparent my item was never actually going to get built. I was then told he would mail a check for my refund, which I never got. I was then told he never mailed the check but would refund me via Zelle, which once again he has promised several dates that have come and gone. I cannot stress this enough, do not buy anything from this company unless you can use a credit card and have purchase protection. You may never get your product or your money back. Update to say that I received a partial refund, however Ted has once again missed his promises date for the rest of the refund.

CIAMILLO DESIGN LLC Brilliant engineer that's always on the cutting edge of the bicycle parts industry. Its not everyday that you have someone that can "IMA-GINEERED" a product just by talking about it and coming out with a working product within months. Only be-spoked companies like Ciamillo Design can actually cut all the board room ho ha's and just get on with the job! Just look at the B-1 Brompton Brake Caliper and Gravitas13 cranksets, pretty impressed with the details and workmanship and they really work when installed!

I'm happy customer :-) Ted Ciamillo makes ultra-light brakes for road bikes and the Brompton folding bike from England. I wanted to use the B1 brake for Brompton on my T Line Urban. The pair consisting of front and rear brake weighs only 133 g. That is about 250 g less than the standard brakes. I feel that the braking performance is just as good. My goal is to get the Brompton T Line under 7 kg. The weight saving on the brakes definitely helps. The communication with Ted Caimiello went very well. Ted usually answered quickly (a few minutes to hours, he lives in a time zone six hours away from me). Delivery was delayed due to organisational issues and I was beginning to fear the same thing happening to me that may have happened to other reviewers in the past. Our communication remained professional and solution oriented and eventually the brake was shipped and delivered. Ciamillo Lekki 8 Brake sets have been… Ciamillo Lekki 8 Brake sets have been perfect finishing pieces for my beloved bikes. My BMC SLR01 has seen the most kms fitted with the Lekki 8s, providing strong braking whilst keeping the overall weight of the bike extremely low. The durability has been excellent, and look of this brake set on the BMC was always a head turner.
