I ordered the 4” Solar Aura Solar Fan… I ordered the 4” Solar Aura Solar Fan PVC Cap finished in brown powder coat and have it mounted on my cabin roof. It seems to run without any problems this past summer; I will be using it to pull exhaust for a composting toilet next summer in addition to a solar battery fan pushing air. The fit and finish appear to be of high quality and I would highly recommend any products made by roofvents.com.

Roof vent arrived damaged The vent arrived damaged. It was in a sturdy corrugated box, which was perfectly intact when I received it. However, the box was much larger than the vent, which was just placed loose in the box, along with one small loose piece of bubble wrap. The vent was not protected at all from crashing around inside the box. I opted to bend the vent back into shape, use some screws to hold it together, and patch up the damaged finish coating, rather than hassle with a return and a delay in installation. It seems clear the damage occurred either inside the undamaged box during transit, or, worse, at the factory before it was packed

Nowhere else First of all, Active Ventilation was the only company I could find that offered a solar powered (PVC) roof vent fan / accelerator. The web site was easy to navigate, product specifications easy to understand, and the ordering / fulfillment process was quick and easy. The item arrived within days, neatly and safely packed. If I have any reservations, it's that the fan doesn't seem to pull much. But I'm going to trust that the CFM rating they "advertised" is accurate since everything else about them is buttoned-down.

Waited for months and finally had to go elsewhere. We placed an order that we patiently waited for almost 2 months to receive, but after many follow up phone calls made on our part and excuses from Active Ventilation we finally had to cancel and source our fan elsewhere. Every time we called we got an excuse about why the project was delayed. Basically, I think they forgot about it. Several times. When we finally had enough of the same excuse and asked to cancel the order, we were met with an argument and poor attitude. Definitely one of the more strange and disappointing transactions we've had with another business.
