The TYPO3 Guidebook is excellent and… The TYPO3 Guidebook is excellent and the purchase took seconds. I've read many TYPO3 books over 15 years and that's the one giving the best overview of the product. It goes from general capacities up to install a beginning development and do it in a logical progression. Kudos.

The newest edition of the book I wanted… The newest edition of the book I wanted wasn't available at the usual retailers (Amazon) until June. So, I ordered direct from Apress. The book was sent from Germany to the UK in 10 working days. Not bad considering the recent logistical issues post Brexit. Overall, the printing of the book is good, all pages are straight and the font sizes are a decent size.

Excellent service Excellent service. Books are easy to select. Ordering process if flawless. Actually ordering a book means some waiting time because of environment conscious print-on-demand system. But this is perfectly OK. If you are in a hurry: aim for the e-books.

A press has a broad library and a team… A press has a broad library and a team of author practitioners. Many books are published soon after a technology gets some mindshare. At $99 a year, the subscription is an EXCELLENT VALUE!

Good books, mediocre customer service The books are fine, but customer service is very slow at answering questions or resolving issues. Courteous, but ponderous. Expect to wait a long time and even then not get a clean resolution. As an example, I've been waiting for them to process a refund for a couple weeks now, and their most recent message was an apology that they still can't get things working correctly on their end. May be simpler to buy their products on Amazon or other distributor instead.
