GBInternational Relations Student About to go into my 3rd and final year at UoP. As an international student I was nervous about attending uni in a whole new country but I can say that I have had a good experience at UoP. There is a lot of support for international students, and the vast majority of staff and students are extremely welcoming. My course has been interesting, yet challenging. Doing second year online didn't really help but I still felt like I had a good level of support and communication from the university, which was great.

GBAwful Learning Experience As a mature student studying a degree in Virtual and Augmented Reality, who has just completed his 3rd year at Portsmouth University. I have to say I have had an awful experience. From studying online in the first year and being charged full tuition fees, to having my student support cancelled in the 3rd year. I can with my hand on my heart say I have had an awful education there. Think twice before you enroll.

GBBeing an International student at The University of Portsmouth.. Being an International student, It was easy to adjust and get help. The university buildings are spread out around the city and the locations are not far from each other. Easily accessible by walking or taking the University buses which are free. There are university cafes around the buildings to grab a bite. Professors are very welcoming, interactive and give extra support if needed. The university gives you an option to join societies according to your hobbies/interests. One of the best ways to find friends in the city. The university is one of the best in terms of teaching and accommodating students and has a plethora of facilities in order to develop and gain new skills and knowledge.

GBSupportive and enriching experience at Portsmouth I am a Sociology and Criminology student going into my third year at the University of Portsmouth. There is a sense of belonging at Portsmouth and I have been provided with so many opportunities to grow as an individual and realise my potential. I love that the lecturers on my course are welcoming and passionate about their fields of study. They have always reassured me if I am ever unsure about anything regarding the module topics and provide extensive feedback to help me progress. Beyond academic skills, I have also developed employability skills as the university has supported me in finding several career-focused volunteer work. Particularly, the University of Portsmouth has been exceptional in responding to the unprecedented situation that the global pandemic has caused. There has been so much support and advice on looking after your mental health. Staff have been so caring and have provided me with support to engage in wellbeing workshops in a relaxed, comfortable environment to develop coping techniques. Overall my experience at the university has been amazing and you are never on your own if you have any concerns. I am so glad I chose Portsmouth and that I am part of the close-knit community.
