About CyberTex Institute of Technology

Since 2000, when CyberTex opened it’s first campus in Austin, Cybertex Institute of Technology has been giving students training and know-how, through nationally-accredited programs to transition into high-tech and medical careers. The Killeen campus, opened in 2008, has started training students in this fast-growing part of Central Texas, including veterans who are using their post-9/11 GI Bills and VOC Rehab to enter our programs and transform their lives.

This school is far most the worst… This school is far most the worst educational training I ever attended. I would Not recommend this school to anyone. Please run far away if even thinking about attending this school. You will waste your time and money.

CyberTex Institute was a life saver for… CyberTex Institute was a life saver for me. I had a great instructor that was very knowledgeable about the all the lessons and very helpful when I didn't understand the material. I received my CMA and I have been working in a Hospital for 6 years. I'm thankful for a new journey in my life.

I wouldn’t recommend this for the working class I paid out of pocket for the 37.5 weeks studied and worked and still showed up to to class. But to be honest I didn’t bet get Much out of it here is why. As soon as you learn something you are off to the next section there is no time to actually take the certification while the info is fresh in your head. Unless you have nothing to do outside of this it’s not realistic. I decided to do a master degree in IT after this and wish I did that from the beginning. Unless they can assist with taking time to study for certification I wouldn’t recommend this. The teachers I had were great it was just did not help be take all the certificates I wanted.. I rather have save the money and done it on my own.

When I went there in 2012 When I went there, they were just barely organised and extremely lacking. They didn't have correct manuels for the courses about half the time. (to be fair if you asked, they did sometimes have the official MS ones, but were very limited) Some instructors, while talented people didn't know the material well enough to be teaching it, nor had the resources required. But much worse was when they pulled a basic Network plus course and replaced it with a CCNA one that was far too advanced for the amount of time given to learn it! (they said it looked good on your resume!). While I did stick with the program, and did complete my "network engineering" certificate, I'd say unless they have improved drastically they are a waste of your time and money! If your serious about IT go elsewhere.

I was part of the first Vocational… I was part of the first Vocational nurse class at Cybertex. I learned a lot but felt some of the best instructors were let go and should've stuck around but at the end of the day I am still glad I chose them.
