An Indispensable Tool for Language Learners I've been using FluentU for almost 2 weeks now as an intermediate learner and it's been immensely helpful! Each video has correct transcription of what is spoken and has a natural English translation. The best thing about the transcription is that you can hover over any word and you will get its meaning in that specific context instead of two or more general meanings. Furthermore, there are also quizzes that help refresh your memory of relevant vocabulary and remind you how to spell words. Learning has never been more fun!

Incredible App - 3 years and still incredible happy Incredible App. Never thought I would happily pay that much for an app. Been using it for the last 3 years and even though I am consider myself fluent in Chinese by now, I am still continuously learning new words, phrases or ways of describing situations or things. For me the perfect app for everybody who is past the basics and really wants to take their language skills to the next level - with around 10 minutes per day.

Too many technical flaws Like a lot of software now with good content, it is let down by poor implementation. Signed up today and already having major technical problems - app not working and website down. Simply not good enough.

Quite close to "The perfect App" Quite close to "The perfect App". After years studying and teaching languages, I always say that there is not the perfect app, but FluentU is one of the most complete and engaging ones among all the apps I have tried (all the most popular ones). The selection of videos is accurate, and the feature of pausing to read transcription with translation and examples is great. Furthermore, the variety of written exercises is truly helpful, and the speaking tests in the mobile version make this app a great resource. The only thing I miss so far is a section with short stories to practice reading comprehension, but I have that in another app, so I keep learning with FluentU. Thank you!!!

Love this platform Love this platform, the videos are very engaging and varied and the quizzes are a great complement to learn the content. The quizzes can be a bit repetitive, but then you realize that it truly helps you learn the new vocabulary and grammar. Love the fact that you can pause the videos to understand at your own pace, and that you can easily access the meaning of the words you don't know.
