Incredible App - 3 years and still incredible happy Incredible App. Never thought I would happily pay that much for an app. Been using it for the last 3 years and even though I am consider myself fluent in Chinese by now, I am still continuously learning new words, phrases or ways of describing situations or things. For me the perfect app for everybody who is past the basics and really wants to take their language skills to the next level - with around 10 minutes per day.

Do not trust this company with your bank details! I signed up for a free trial, and cancelled 3 days before its expiry (much earlier than the required 24 hours), following the cancellation instructions provided by FluentU. I then received an email saying my trial was about to expire and my card would be charged for a year subscription (nearly $100). I emailed them to say I’d cancelled and so I shouldn’t be charged any further. They confirmed that I had indeed cancelled and that they wouldn’t be taking any money from me. Then yesterday evening, they proceeded to charge my card for the year. This is an unauthorised transaction. They clearly cannot be trusted with the bank card details they request for a free trial. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK DETAILS!!

Quite close to "The perfect App" Quite close to "The perfect App". After years studying and teaching languages, I always say that there is not the perfect app, but FluentU is one of the most complete and engaging ones among all the apps I have tried (all the most popular ones). The selection of videos is accurate, and the feature of pausing to read transcription with translation and examples is great. Furthermore, the variety of written exercises is truly helpful, and the speaking tests in the mobile version make this app a great resource. The only thing I miss so far is a section with short stories to practice reading comprehension, but I have that in another app, so I keep learning with FluentU. Thank you!!!

If I could only pick one language learning tool it would be this one I've been learning Mandarin Chinese for 2 years now and the only app which I've stuck with really is FluentU! In terms of speaking functions, I honestly don't feel it's necessary when you can speak to people online on sites like italki. I feel that FluentU combines everything I love: Learning in context, stories, many example sentences, spaced repetition... The list goes on! Things I don't like: Lack of discounts!

I liked this website I liked this website. It has a very good education system with subtitles and videos. It's very comfortable that I am able to know what some word means because you can with one move select the word under the video and read the meaning of it.
