GBInformative Course I really enjoyed Norton's class. I learned so much in 9 days and also had a great time doing it. I do have one thing to say, however. Our class had 16 participants to one instructor. We ran into many roadblocks with this issue during the first 4 days. We were learning so much initially this was great for the theoretical lymphedema education but for the hands on bandaging it did not work out well. We ended up going late a couple of days to get in the one on one reviews that we needed. I would say that for the lab portion the class should be limited to 10 students or two instructors need to be present. Otherwise the course was great with presentations by bandaging providers and such. Everyone was very welcoming and there was no awkwardness with practicing treatment methods.

GBComprehensive The Norton School CDT Course covered a broad range of topics in Lymphedema and had dynamic instructors. They provided adequate supplies for learning and practicing. The course is jampacked with lots of information.

GBI took the course August 2022 I took the course August 2022. I'm at MT. This course comes with the textbook it comes with an online guide it comes with online videos it comes with online quizzes before you take the actual course in person 10 straight days of 12 hours.. so you can be prepared during the 10 days There is a lot of medical terminology. You do your own 40 hr of home study. It's the type of course you sink or swim. I felt terrified before my start. The majority of my class would study during their lunch break and snack break and breakfast and after the class we were studying... This class is not for faint of heart... It's not for somebody that wants to be on social media and shows up and get a certification because they showed up you have to put the work in... Steve Norton did show up to my class he was the second instructor... We were showed the vodder technique it's completely different from regular massages. We learned to bandage it's a lot harder than it looks. Even the PT's in the OT's were struggling... But I can definitely say no one who passed class didn't know what they were doing. Everyone who passed put in the work. People dropped in the beginning that didn't understand the terminology of the course it is so fast paced they have a lot to go through. I even think I failed my assessment my first assessment that definitely puts your confidence down... But it let me know that I didn't understand my material and I needed to study more and I did. And I passed. But I made sure I was attentive the whole course. Understand if you're doing lymphatics you can hurt somebody if you don't know what you're doing. So this class is not easy for a reason. I got a written letter with my name on it at the end of the course it stated that I had met all the qualifications and I had passed my clt course. It did take a few weeks to get my certification in the mail. I would definitely recommend this class to people who will take it seriously. Be ready to study a lot.

GBAwesome experience; opened up new doors for me! Yes its true that its nerve racking but the whole experience is worth it. Instructors are well versed especially Kathy with her take on physiology; they are all there to teach us and train as a colleagues. It opened new opportunities for my career and in-depth understanding for patient care. Will recommend it to everyone.

GBGreat program... Instructor issues Home study was great. No issues with the home study part. The nine day in class training was half ok and half great.... I just wish they would keep one instructor for the whole class because some of what we were taught in the beginning was a lil different than how the second instructor explained. My second instructor was amazing however my first instructor contraindicated herself several times.
