Quality begins at Sample Collection You have a method of teaching how to obtain a good sample from a cat. This is essential for accurate results. The YouTube video was useful in showing why two people should be involved in taking a sample. You report was clear and covered the genetic problems which are known in Maine Coons.

Results are incorrect!! I used this product a lot and I really liked that it was fast and comprehensive. At some point they started using an Edmonton based lab for samples based out of Canada. Since this time, the results are often wrong, they don’t correct them when asked. They loose samples, mix up samples, their results end up being incomplete often. I ordered 4 tests in Nov2024, I have had to re-submit swabs now 4 times, and some results are completely incorrect, some are incomplete, and one has been “misplaced” every time and they are now asking me for another swab, the 4th! I have been trying to be patient but it is very clear to me now that the Edmonton Lab is the issue. They can’t seem to get one thing correct. I will be going back to Optimal Selection as it is now mid-April and I still don’t have results on a test ordered in Nov2023, which I re-submitted 4 times! This Lab is well aware of their mistakes as I have emailed them about 8 times. I finally asked for a refund, and they wanted to give me a credit, but I don’t feel that they’re worth my time any longer. The last results were very obviously not even for the correct cat, all of it was 100% incorrect!

Fast Results I appreciate the speed that you are providing the test results back in! I love the gene test for the Siberian Corin/bi-metal color! My only issue is that the swabs are too large for a kitten which makes it hard to get the swab under the lip.

Especially those who line breed Ie inbreed which without genetically sound (clear) parents could result in a devastating nightmare for owners paying thousands in vet Bill due to uneducated unethical breeders who know nothing about genetics and responsible breeding practices! This kit includes the blood type Full color coat test panels And all genetic mutations for everything!!!! I test all my breeders as I buy them and will only Breed genetically clear pure Persians My kittens leave with both parents reports, pedigrees and all vet records in a binder! They are vet checked and have health certificates! For more than the show breeders I purchased my breeders from! My goal is to produce genetically clear amazing forever loving family members and I couldn’t do this without cat scan dna!

Not that great anymore I have used this company for a few years now. The turnaround time is definitely increasing. The testing is more expensive and I find myself questioning whether or not I want to continue using their service or finding a new one. Customer service is lacking, they don’t value your business or loyalty.
