I used the video to instal mine and… I used the video to instal mine and that made it very easy for me, I did not use the spacers for my microwave. It looks great and it does capture ALL of the smoke coming from the burners. I now get released into the house the filtered smoke which is so much better than before, I now do not have yellow greasy cabinets above and near the microwave. My microwave exhaust does not release to the outside.

Easy install! I'm not a "handy" guy (thought I'm not totally incompetent either), but the removable visor was EASY to install. It took just a few minutes. I got tired of my microwave door getting so much condensation buildup while boiling pasta, but this completely eliminates that! And it looks great!

Solid Construction: Reasonable Installation George, just received and installed your touted Microvisor retractable hood. It's every thing you said it would be, namely quality in construction. The rear attach magnet concept is ingenious!! Makes it a one guy operation. Do have one suggestion, the knurled height setting knobs would be easier to access/tighten if they were keyed for an Allen wrench....a small item in an otherwise superb design. Also, was impressed with packaging. Solid box, no dings or dents!! Again, as when I ordered, being able to watch the videos and correspond directly with you was/is a major plus. Just what we needed! The Microvisor hood arrived on time. The installation instructions were clear and easy to follow. I was able to install it in about 20 minutes with nothing more than a Phillip's head screwdriver. We were having a problem with grease attaching itself to the cabinetry near the stove whenever we fried anything. It has been two weeks now and the problem seems to be eliminated. It was exactly what we needed.
