VDSC is a Competent editor VDSC is a Competent editor. Put some time in to learn it, and you will be happy with what you can create. My background is Broadcast TV and Radio. For being free with an upgrade it is a feature rich editor that put a full palate of creativity at your fingertips. You will put in some time, and watch some tutorials to learn it. In the end you will be rewarded for your effort.

Still learning, but loving this tool I have been using VSDC's Video Editor for a few years now. I knew ZERO before starting out with this. It was fairly easy to learn the basics, and I am still discovering and learning to use new features every time I use it. There is so much here that I still know nothing about. I absolutely still consider myself a beginner, but look forward to exploring everything this program has to offer. It's a great easy-to-use program for people like me, and I can only imagine what a more experienced and knowledgeable editor could do with it.

Truly free but a bit overcomplicated I have been using VSDC video editor for years now. I'm free user, and free version has everything I ever needed. You can use vast choice of options and possibilities for even a pro editing. Downside, at least for me, is that this software is a bit too overcomplicated. Some ordinary operations require too much time and patience. You can easily get lost in dozens of icons, options, possibilities. All in all, it's good choice for free users that have enough patience to master this software.

Here we go again Here we go again. 1 short video recorded on a bridge camera. 1 small section removed. Cannot export in usable format as "you have used hardware acceleration" (I have no idea what that means) & need to buy the PRO version. I downloaded VSDC FREE video editor to do this simple video edit & am absolutely not encouraged to buy it because of this catch 22 - if it had worked, that might well have been different.
