Zone alarm melts your PC Zone alarm used to be great 10 years ago. I installed it recently because I was tired of Comodo interfering with other programs and me having to disable it regularly to play some games... When i installed ZoneAlarm i was satisfied initially. It does fulfill it's function. However, it somehow manages to make my PC suffer more than a UltraHD FPS. I was having issues with lag everytime I open Firefox because it seems to analyse every bite that comes through, in other words it's extremely unefficient. The breaking point was 5min ago when I got a Blue Screen Of Death because of it. NEVER AGAIN

Zone alarm is worse than 5 years ago… Zone alarm is worse than 5 years ago when i paid them for the service One might think that a site I have visited 10.000 times in the last 10 years might be recognised but no not even a simple google search is allowed these folks really need to pull their creative heads from the deep dark place they seem to keep them. Totally worthless in the free form thus why would i purchase the vetted version. Very irritating subset program, oh it changes for no reason from day to day also one day google is great the next day failure wake up and no accept your bs terms haha idiots

Do NOT install if you watch any online videos If you watch any online videos, to include YouTube, please DO NOT install ZoneAlarm. My laptop isn't fast (1.86Ghz to be exact), but I was able to watch any online videos without interruption before I installed ZoneAlarm. I did not think it was Zone Alarm that caused the issue, after all, it was only an antivirus software. I deleted Zone Alarm to test it out, and instantly, after a reboot, I was able to watch videos without interruption. The speed felt rejuvenated to youth again. Thank goodness I didn't pay for a year subscription.

Underhand and questionable auto renewal practices I received an auto renewal notice for my Anti Virus subscription today. 1) I never ever enable auto renewal 2) the links they gave to cancel the renewal were not direct and there was still additional navigation to a different URL to cancel the auto renewal. Basically these are highly dubious business practices to retain their revenue. When did checkpoint become such a nefarious underhand company to deal with? You can bet that the only reason I got the renewal notice was because under UK contract law, they are obliged to do so. The CMA also state they should make it easy to cancel auto renewal, it wasn't, the link provided did not take me straight to where i needed to go, I had to navigate my way to another website entirely to do this. Cheap dodgy practices means that I will never use them again. If you currently use Zonealarm, i urge you to check the auto renewal status of your subscription and cancel it if you do not require it. Like I said, I NEVER keep auto renewal enabled when I sign up to a subscription service, so how did that happen ..hmmmmmm

Been using ZoneAlarm 20 years! Been using ZoneAlarm 20 years, Very rarely have any trouble, and never been hacked! All the people who say they have trouble work for competing companies, or are not using the setting correctly. You should study how to use full control, so you pick what gets blocked without shutting down your own internet. It can do exactly that if you screw it up. That is what happens to the novice users who don't use it correctly. Watch the instructive videos on YouTube. You can secure your computer with Zone Alarm like with NO other security program!
