Metamask is a scam. Do not use it One of my worst experiences. I was encouraged by a false friend to join metamask, and I met Sara Gatti, who is a scammer. I strongly recommend you never to have anything to do with her. I lost a lot of money thanks to her, and no one helped me with anything.

got browser hijacked hours after metamask install Installed this extension as prep for future trading. About 30mins after I shut down my pc I got signs of hacks happening on sessions that were active on my pc only, with no 2FA on sites I don't visit much. A trojan was detected in a temp folder of chrome when I got home & took a full scan. Took me 3 days to clear up all the hacks on those accounts but luckily wasn't affected financially

METAMASK IS USED BY SCAMMERS Whilst the genuine platform is probably functional, sadly it's being used by scammers who pretend to transfer crypto to a genuine platform i.e. Coinbase, but nothing appears. An email from the scammer will then ask you to download the app with parameters which make the app appear to contain funds. In this case the MetaMask app is a fake dummy non functional app which cannot carry out any functions including cashing out to FIAT. Avoid this like the plague.

Three times in a week coins were stolen from my account and MetaMask say that they can do nothing to help and blamed me for disclosing my secret phrases. There is no chance this happened. Never again will I use this excuse of an exchange. Be warned everyone.

Stick to trusted exchanges; it will chew up your profits in transaction fees when you eventually get your money out, Uses ETH as gas(the most expensive probably to fund the dead app) for every transaction basically. DO NOT USE!!!
