GBWas good, now just a corporate mess Back in early Neopets times, it seemed very personal and a non-profiteering company. Since it has been overtaken by Nickalodeon, it seems it is just another one of corporately run businesses that children a roped into, like the Jonas Brothers.

NLWish I had never started on the site. Would have saved me a lot of wasted time My first ever neopets account stopped working. I couldn't login and the password recovery did not send a mail. Neopets gave 0 support and after 2 years, decided to fully delete it because it was inactive. Made a new account, after playing on it for a year, frozen. Another new account, after at least half a year, frozen. Another account... frozen. Each time 0 support or explanation as to why my accounts were frozen and/or how to unfreeze them. I wouldn't get a single response from them. Then I made another account, played on it for 2-3 years and it all went well. Until one day while trying to login the site asked me for my birthday. No problem I thought. Just fill it in and go. Except... it did not work. Tried every single combination just in case I might have missclicked while entering my date, yet nothing worked. Tried to use the password recovery option because I thought resetting my password might bypass the birthday check. No recovery email. I sent them an email showing screenshots of the original registration email I had received when I made the account as proof that I was the real owner. No ticket number, no response. Sent them a direct message on facebook asking about the email I have sent... no response. A while later I notice that they have read my facebook message, but decided not to respond. They fail to do their jobs and I don't understand why a company would waste money and hire people for customer support, if they aren't going to provide any support in the first place. This company does not give one đź’© about children or their users in general. All they care about is getting as much money as they can. They can't even seem to keep their security up to date.

CAGawdawaful Site The team means well, I think - however they are so underresourced that they cut corners in MANY places, including but not limited to site security; protecting users personal data, and fair consideration in support tickets. They routinely banish users from the site without evidence of wrongdoing as part of their "freeze first, answer questions never approach". In fact, their team acknowledges that the sites backend is still open and accessible by anyone with the know-how. Don't spend any of your time or money here, assuming that you value it. They definitely don't. At all.

GBSome of the most basic security issues from the 90s are here As an ex-dev and current security consultant, I am professionally and personally offended at the state of this site after coming back since childhood. Trust me when I say it's as bad as it comes and the mistakes make me think that you only hire interns or WITCH companies. Why would I pay for premium if the site is broken, insecure, and I might be frozen for using a goddamn VPN???? VPN is basic at this point. It becomes a cycle where your customer base won't pray for crap and you then don't improve. Make a decision of if you want to be a business or not, Neopets. Very disappointed inner 7 year old here.
