wedding registry great option for couples getting married :)

Satisfied customer SimpleRegistry worked well for us. We found it easy to use and manage as well as fun for us and our loved ones. If the need were to arise for someone I would recommend this site. My one concern would be there are too many mailed items. Perhaps I could have changed that option and chose to not receive anything in the mail but in my opinion that is what the default option should be. Instead we received a lot of unnecessary physical mail as I was also emailed with notifications as appropriate. This is the only thing that I can think of to critique. Thanks.

Service Charges Ruined My Experience Maybe there's an ad-supported option you can offer customers? Just so people don't *have* to forfeit their gift money. It feels very un-gratifying to get some percentage instead of a nice whole number, psychologically. Or maybe just have a flat membership fee that the registrant pays upfront? Also, I opted for my money to be paid via PayPal. I believe PayPal also charged a fee. You should warn customers of this. I would've certainly opted for a check if I knew PayPal would skim off the top as well. Won't use your service again—or recommend it—as a result of these fees. Perhaps if you made some changes, I would. It's too bad, because the concept is good, and the service is helpful. It won't be long before a competitor solves the fee problem and steals the market. Just a thought.

Worked well for younger people Simple Registry was an easy way for us to avoid getting a ton of gifts we don't need (although we still got a few) and helping us pay for our honeymoon. All of our younger guests and people who regularly use technology had no problem with it, but older folks who don't have much experience in technology were just really baffled by the idea and had trouble using the site. I don't doubt this has more to do with their skills than the site, but does maybe show that not everyone is quite ready to go online with wedding registries. I'd recommend this to a friend without a doubt, but with the caveat that they'll need to walk older/non technically skilled people though it step by step.

Perfect for our wedding registry We liked how SimpleRegistry dealt only with money and we could go out and buy the items ourselves, especially because we weren't sure where we were living and now we're living in a small space that may not be able to fit everything at once. Just be aware of the small fees they charge for each contribution.
