Very helpful program but hard to get in contact with anyone for assistance This program is great!! I've found it very helpful and have walked around in public for the past 2 weeks without any makeup on my face (to cover any picking marks) which I never thought I would be able to do! I didn't even complete the full 8 sessions because I'm still pulling myself together in other areas and I was moving through the program really slow so the cost was adding up. The only downside was that I tried to get a bill statement to try to submit part of it to my insurance/my HRA and that has been a headache!! They do not seem to have an official billing statement so neither my insurance or HRA wants to accept the bill statement (which I had to request because you can't get it from your account) as it just looks like a PayPal receipt. It has been a challenge getting someone to respond much less respond in a timely manner. I couldn't get the app to work and after emailing back and forth with someone from the program just gave up on that aspect of the program and just focused on the sessions. Other than the communication issues, which felt like pulling teeth/made me want to repeatedly hit my head into a wall, I really, really like the program and found it very helpful! I would still recommend them but also hope they organize their customer assistance a bit better and provide a customer assistance phone number.

Customized Hope-Giving Therapy I do not know where to begin except to say that I feel so fortunate that I found Skinpick. I decided to continue after the 8 week program and cannot even begin to describe the change and growth I've experienced due to this program. It's so convenient. Complete the sessions at your own pace and wherever is convenient for you. I so appreciated being able to revisit what I wrote previously and the therapist's comments. With traditional counseling I always felt like I didn't retain as much of the information as I would have liked. At the end of the program you can download your sessions in PDF format because this stuff takes practice to stick! Just great! Very well structured program with the right blend of depth and length. The content and the therapist are great! You won’t never be able to develop alone the insights, the mind set and the techniques to defeat the skin picking problem. The online and self-paced method works very well.

Healthier outlook After years of trying to stop skin picking on my own I knew I needed some help. Skinpick.com was helpful because I could work on my own timeline and it helped me think about picking and my behaviors from a different perspective. The therapist was understanding and asked good questions. I would not a say this "cured" my picking, but I think this was a good step towards having a healthier outlook and building strategies to be happier with myself and my skin and avoid cycles that making picking worse.

Unfortunately privacy and financial issues Update: They asked me to update my review based on their effort. They replied a day later after my bank gave me their direct number and I left a vm on a number not listed on their website. They indicated it was my error for not seeing they bill monthly despite marketing a weekly rate, but none the less they did refund me. They are still insisting that I remove the part about an email for my acct going to a non-connected email address because they say it is impossible. They'd like that person's email, so I sent them the email address without the domain. I didn't not ask that person for the copy of the email as you can imagine a user of such a service wouldn't either nor would the other person, most likely also a user, wouldn't appreciate the breech. So they want to do right, they just will bill you monthly upfront and they still don't know how an email went to an email I didn't provide. I assume there is a data corruption issue and I hope they figure it out. The review was in an effort to compare services out there and this one came up as good but we didn't get the chance to review it and will leave it out rather than say more. I can say here that they are responsive through email, refunded the amount, but I did use a number to ultimately get a call back. Original Review: Unfortunately if you go to this website, they start to reach out. They ask you and invite you to check it out, one week at a time. You agree to confirm your identity and sign up a week at a time with a grace period as always. WIthin a minute they don't email you but you get a charge from your bank for $200. To top it off, they will email a family member and let them know you signed up, most likely from their marketing database that is linked to you, but not because you gave them the email. As an article writer about online programs, this is one I didn't expect to be scammy. It looked legit. I assume the reviews are also paid for.
