Founded in 2009, MDLIVE is a visionary and pioneer in the digital delivery of high-quality, convenient, cost-efficient care. The company provides consumers, health plans, health systems and self-insured employers with 24/7/365 access to board-certified doctors and pediatricians via secure online video, phone or the MDLIVE App. Instead of the inconvenience and expense of ER or urgent care visits for non-emergency issues, registered users can receive a virtual consultation through the company’s HIPAA and PHI-compliant secure, cloud-based platform from home or on the go, and if necessary, obtain an e-prescription. Through Breakthrough, the company’s behavioral health service, MDLIVE enables consumers to schedule video appointments with licensed therapists. A really bad insect bite My father had a really bad insect bite that has caused his leg to be swollen and red. He had this before a few months ago on another part of his body. We tried to go to a clinic near by, however with it being the holidays they were closed and other places around were already closed for the day. It was easy to input the necessary information for the doctor to have and easy to upload pictures so they can have it as a reference. I was given an estimated wait time of over an hour, however I received a call within 15 minutes! The Dr. was kind and informative. They were able to prescribe antibiotics and send them to the preferred pharmacy at the end of the call. I was able to pickup the antibiotics within the next hour! Highly reccomend using MDLIVE!

The Best Mental Health This is the best place for mental health care! I had a nightmarish experience with Talkiatry, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I didn't have to wait months for an appt, or get canceled 4 times due to my age. I got an appt right away, I like my doctor. I had a problem with a prescription at the pharmacy. I called MDlive, they were polite, caring and took care of it ASAP! I'm so happy. 5 Stars!

Billing Issues Billing Issues, Customer Service Hard to Reach I'm giving more than one star because I found a therapist through MDLive that I absolutely love. Otherwise, their customer service has been very difficult for me to get a hold of, there have been several glitches that have happened during my calls, and they recently turned off a feature where I can message my therapist (what I usually do in order to set up scheduling.) My biggest issue with them right now is that last year there were 6 instances where my insurance paid what they were supposed to and I had a copay left to pay. I used a card I knew had funds and I authorized them to charge it for the copay amount. I made sure to check that the copay amount was right every time. This year, they told me suddenly that I had an outstanding balance of a large amount, and when I asked why, they told me to check to make sure my insurance paid their portion. My insurance company confirmed that their portion was paid for each of those dates that MDLive said I had an outstanding balance for. They tried to blame the insurance company first when that was clearly not what happened. Then I checked my statements. They had not charged most of the dates that they had told me I had a balance for, and on the days they did, they charged maybe half the amount. I had plenty of money in my account, I had authorized them to charge the card, and there was no reason that they should have only charged me half or none, just to turn around and say I owed. Now they won't allow me to schedule any more appointments with a therapist until this amount is paid, when I thought it had already been paid. They had given me no prior notice to this year. Needless to say, once I get this resolved, I'm likely to see if there is an alternate way I can see my therapist or to look for another therapist altogether.

Much better ones out there. I called, gave them my insurance information and was told someone would be calling me soon. I told the doc I've had a sore throat for over a week. All I heard after that was I'm not going to help you, because you need an X-ray. X-ray? Just think about it, if everyone that got a sore throat was told to go to the ER, there making a lot of money. They got paid the full price for talking To me for 1.5 minutes. If your looking for a phone appt, stay away from these guys.

It's pretty ok. For the most part I like MD live for things that I could go to my pcp or urgent care. Except the last visit. I was bitten by a kitten. There was no rash, etc. All I needed was a prophylactic antibiotic because their bites pretty much close quickly and can result in an infection that a person isn't aware of. It's pretty ridiculous especially with uploading a picture to show the injury site. I was told to go to an... ER or Urgent Care. Seriously? In Philly? For a cat bite that doesn't show signs of infection to get something that should be something to get easily? (The doctor was like I'm not losing my job for this. And this was after he out me on hold to pick up his other line. I wasn't arguing with him etc. ) Like this is stupid.
