Faulty hearing aids Purchased Starkey hearing aids through ihear it was the worst experience in my life, the hearing aids has never worked properly always echoing back into the ear we took them back many times to be repaired when we received them back same issue arose. It's been nearly 5 years and I never used the aids for more than a day they sat in the box.

Loser Livio model I have the Livio model. Works great till you go to a humid environment. I live in south Louisiana, so that means anywhere other than your living room! Can't wear outside because sweat will make them turn off. Dehumidifiers help very little! I'm on 3rd or 4th pair and right now the right one works about 10% of the time. I do have to give credit where credit is due, the tinitus technology works pretty good. Would I buy Starkey hearing aids again? Not no but HECK NO!!!!!

They squeal a lot They squeal a lot. Just getting next to something, like inside a car or next to a kitchen cabinet set off the squealing. It is uncomfortable just to reach up to take them out because of the squealing caused by my hand. There needs to be a better filter to stop all the noise of knives and forks clanking on the plates, because all I hear at dinner is plates clanking, and my self chewing. I am effectively deaf at any dining situation.

Don’t bother I’ve had Starkey aids for maybe 4 years and they must’ve been back to Starkey at least 4 times if not more. I collected them again this morning from the audiologist and guess what when I came to pairing them… neither microphone nor receiver worked on either. And THIS is what they’ve just been away for a week for, the. They came back on Tuesday and failed in the audiologist. Then again today. Core functionality non existent - they are supposed to help me hear. All they do is cause aggravation and embarrassment . I’m done.

Plastic earmolds are like rocks in your ears First time hearing aid user (3 months). Hearing loss is mild to moderate in high ranges. Luckily I can get by with using the domes (earbuds) only because the hard plastic earmolds are like putting rocks in your ears. I will never wear them! Hearing aid specialist even ground them down some, but they are too uncomfortable to wear. Need a better material than hard plastic.
