GBSo far so good with WLIAZ I am a new patient with WLIAZ. I have had 3 separate appointments with them in preparation for the VSG and have to say they seem to treat me well. I had a little bit of a hard time getting ahold of them for some questions but once i got ahold of them they were very friendly. Dr. Orris is going to be the one to do the procedure for me and after meeting with him he seems to be very nice and informal. Answering any and all my questions the best he could to make me understand everything. At this time i have to say I'm pleased with all my services so far and hoping it continues throughout my whole journey.

GBKnowledgeable, Caring Staff After months of dieting and meeting with my primary care physician I came to WLIA on the recommendation of a business colleague. There were a lot of hoops to jump through but all was explained to me up front so I could jump through them as quickly as possible. The provided checklist kept me on track. The staff are welcoming and mostly responsive (a few unreturned phone calls were very annoying) that aside, they are all hard working, caring people who greeted me by name and always with a smile.

GBEveryone was very nice and pleasant. I really wish i could get help from the office on getting the surgery I want through my insurance. I was advised to call the insurance myself and I did and didn't get anywhere other than the insurance saying that the doctor needs to write why it's important for me to have the surgery. I told the insurance that my knees hurt and diabetes runs in my family, but they still didn't listen to me. Now I don't know what to do because I don't know if I could do it financially too. But really need this surgery to be done.

GBGo in with eyes wide open!!!! The staff is extremely nice and it takes awhile to get an appointment once you watch their video and fill in the form. Once they call, I was told that my insurance approved the surgery. Free consultation would be my first appointment. My husband went with me and once he heard how amazing the surgery would be to my life he was stoked and he signed up too. While sitting there, we were told this procedure needed to be done and that procedure needed be done, a total of 7-8 needed to be done within the 6-month wait time for surgery. I understand they wanted to make sure there were no issues beforehand but we felt it was extreme. Also, when we cancelled the entire thing due to my own health issues, my husband and I got each a $800-something bill. The first consultation ended up not being free. Let's not forget that when we would go in for the surgery, we still needed to pay out of pocket $5,000.00 each. Now we have really awesome insurance and with my own health issues, we have met our deductible so why so much if I was approved. Keep your eyes wide open if you go here.

GBLapband On July 21, 2014, I got the lapband placed, and since then I am no longer a diabetic. I have nothing to hide and nothing to be ashamed of. I am an advocate for anyone who has tried their hardest for something, but was never able to achieve that goal because of the way their body was made or how it works. The lapband is not an easy way out...I still have to eat healthy and work out to ensure success. I never wanted to be skinny, I just wanted to be healthy and this past year has guided me to a much healthier lifestyle that I am forever grateful for, thanks to the WLIA.
