Professional, helpful advice with practical solutions This 30 minute feeding consultation was a great support for me as a parent of a super picky toddler. The appointment was easy to set up, with a lot of flexibility to fit my busy schedule. My coach, Krystyn, really listened to my concerns and gave me amazing tips and suggestions that left me feeling empowered as a parent. My husband and I have been using the ideas given to us, and have found ourselves enjoying meal time again! It isn't perfect, but the progress we have made gives me hope that my kids are both developing positive eating habits. The consultation confirmed things that I was doing well, and ideas on how to help improve our food conversations in the home to help develop these habits even more. I would absolutely use this service in the future and I have recommended this to fellow moms of picky eaters! I also love that my coach followed up with an email with further information about our conversation. I can even follow her on social media to get more great tips. Thanks for the support, both for my self and for my picky toddler!Thank you to the Stellar Review Pannel for this opportunity.

Helpful, but overpriced I have two very picky eaters at home, one aged 4 and the other aged 20 months. My toddler has recently started being pickier than usual so I decided to give tot squad a try. My nutritionist was very helpful, knowledgeable and her cheery demeanor helped bring my spirits up. She helped me believe that my boys would soon be eating better with time. Krystyn emailed me right after our consultation with some valuable information that we had spoken about and some additional links that I could find useful. I have not seen a difference in my kids’ eating habits yet, but I am hoping that will change soon. My least favorite part was how short the consultation was. If a parent is paying $50 a pop, I expect something a bit longer than 20 minutes. I do not think I would use this service again because of the briefness of the service and because most of these tips could be discussed with your child’s pediatrician if you are very worried or found online on sites like Pinterest.

Great Virtual Resource Thank you to Stellar Panel for the opportunity to try Tot Squad. It was very easy to make an appointment on their site and the nutritionist was on time for the call. It was nice to know that there are virtual resources like this especially during Covid. They had late time slots which made it convenient after work/after baby went to bed. As for the content, it was just okay— as a first time mom and just starting my baby on foods I was looking for advice on allergy/food introductions. She recommended that we wait 7-10 days between trying new foods which is a very conservative approach! To keep everything else the same— lotions, soaps, etc so it’s easier to isolate the cause if there is a reaction.

A swing and a miss... I learned about Tot Squad through the Stellar Product testing panel. Originally, this service was offered for $50 with a $50 gift card back, so there was nothing to lose and I was excited to try it out. I love the idea of this service, but in all honesty, it was a major miss and that’s coming from someone who hates to be critical of new businesses. Purchasing the service was easy. Scheduling the appointment was fairly easy, although the scheduling form was a bit confusing because it referenced different time zones. I was able to give information about what I was hoping to get out of the 20 minute appointment, so I was excited to get my questions addressed. The appointment was a complete disappointment. First, the appointment is 20 minutes long. You can’t do much in 20 minutes especially if you exchange pleasantries and my coach was a few minutes late. The services totes itself as a video consult, yet, my coach didn’t stream video. Instead, I stared at a photo of her. Our visit was riddled with connection issues and I had to strain to hear and understand what she was saying which resulted in a ton of talking over each other and even more lost time. She was very sweet and seemed to be knowledgeable, but didn’t address any of the things I had inquired about but instead focused on my son’s reluctance to bottle feed (it was a starting solids appointment). I appreciated her suggestions, but it wasn’t what I paid for or was looking for. Quite frankly, I suspect that pretty much any of the information you can get through any of these consults you can get through your pediatrician or a lactation consultant for far less money if you have insurance, or in some cases can find with a simple internet search for free. My experience was not worth $50, and maybe not even worth $10 to be honest. I just kept thinking how upset I would have been if I would have paid for it. I think the service could be good, but would take some serious overhauling such as lengthening the time but not increasing the cost, figuring out a way to solve connection issues or just do phone based appointments and offer packages with the same provider so a relationship can be established...I think this would work better as an ongoing mentoring type of service as opposed to a one time appointment. Bottom line: skip it and seek this information through your child’s doctor as a first option!

So helpful! My favorite aspect of tot squad was how booking an appointment with coaches was so quick and easy! There were multiple dates and times that could easily work with anyone's busy schedule and booking took me less than 5 minutes to complete. My coach Ilona was prompt, kind and so so very helpful! During my session coach Ilona reviewed my concerns, answered all my questions, and gave me excellent tips on how to help my extremely picky 3 year old more motivated to eat different foods. I would definitely use Tot Squad again and highly recommend it to all parents.
