GBJust recently purchased Elba potatoes… Just recently purchased Elba potatoes for our farm, we are growing this variety and a few others mainly for ourselves and for our farmers market. They arrived quickly and in excellent condition and we planted them a day or so later. Haven't seen any foliage sprouting yet compared to our other 2 varieties we planted, probably because the sprouts on them were still small. Not knowing how this is going to turn out at harvest time I refrained from giving 5 stars, however I am completely satisfied with my order, thank you.

GBI was very disappointed I was very disappointed. This year I thought I would go with a family farm type supplier. I ordered my potatoes in December. About the end of December they reached out to me asking when I would like my seed potatoes delivered. This was positive, a personalize approach! Being is Central Texas I requested the middle of January for delivery. Well January came and went with no potatoes. I pretty much gave up and figured I would work the beds to get early summer veggies planted in February. Well about the 3rd week in February the potatoes show up. What the heck am I going to do with these. I live in Texas for goodness sake. Halfway through the growth cycle for the potatoes we will already be in the 90s and potatoes do not do well in heat. I did not give them a 1 star because I really hate giving negative reviews to family run operations.

GBGreat quality seed potatoes We regularly order our seed potatoes from Wood Prairie Family Farm. The product we receive is great and it arrives on the date we specify. We have ordered from competitors in the past, who had lower prices, but the difference in yield is so significant that the is costs us less overall to buy the better seed potatoes from Wood Prairie. GBVery disappointed I cannot plant until May, them posted in early februrary. I kept in orginal bag in basement. I went to start getting ready for planting and they are dried out husks. The red potatoes I got elsewhere were soft and plump and are now temporarly planted with wonderful sprouts. Their "organic" potatoes are mushy, nasty things. I've emails and was told by Frank Allen not our problem. We have a small farm and booth at the Fredericksburg farmers market, we will definitely be passing out copies of his rude emails. People from all over the US comes to our little town.
