AESCAM SCAM! The sales agents (eg Ollie) are dishonest. All they want to do is take your money and run. They tell you what you want to hear. If you want appointment on Tues they’ll say yes, now pay in advance. Then, after payment, you get a message saying the engineer can only come on Friday. They are dishonest and NEVER accept responsibility. DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY.

GBDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I contacted this company online because my cooker had a problem (a rattling oven fan), I was assured by their agent (Natalie) that they could fix it. How much? The quote I got was for £89, but this price was dependent on taking out an insurance with them for £13.50 per month. I didn’t want that, so the price became £129 (excluding any parts needed). I accepted this as a one off repair. The agent tried very hard to persuade me to take the insurance, and asked if I had a gas boiler or car. I insisted that I only wanted a repair. Eventually I paid the £129. It struck me as odd that I had to pay before the repair had been done. A couple of hours later I was telephoned by an engineer, and agreed an appointment with him for Monday 27th. When he came he obviously knew what he was doing, and recommended a new fan. In the course of our conversation he told me that he had his own cooker repair company, and, rather than going through Goassist, I could have employed him directly. He told me that the new fan would be £35. I agreed with that, and he told me that he would have to tell Goassist, and I would have to pay for the part through them. I then got an email from them asking for payment. However they asked for £75 rather than £35. I could pay £35, but I would also have to pay the £13.50 per month insurance. If I didn’t proceed with the repair, my initial £129 would be forfeit. I paid the £75. The engineer was aghast. This company are only interested in squeezing as much money out of you as possible by creating a web that is impossible to get out of without losing your initial payment. I will definitely never use them again, and strongly advise anyone else to do the same.

GBWarning do not use this company Warning, do not use this company absolute charlatans. 2 weeks of phoning and being basically lied to and my cooker is still not fixed. They Gave incorrect information, told me it was my fault only for me to point out that i had made the issue very clear to them. charged incorrectly and messed around - huge charge out fees. many many phone calls only for them to declare that they could not provide a qualified gas safe engineer (!) and to cancel the job. waste of 2 week and no fix. Would not recommend them to someone i didn't like.

GBOutrageous overcharging for Parts - AVOID Rapiar cal out fee £139 2400w heating element needed replacing on my cooker. Retail cost on Amazon =£14.99 Cost from goassist without taking cover - £95.56 If I took out 12 months cover ay 13.99 a month for 12 months cost would be £56. Turned down cover on initial call. Freelance engineers they use can't fit the part they have in the van until they get the go ahead that I've paid. Charlatans

GBAVOID! Agree with the previous review, stay well clear of them. Awful customer service and completely overcharging and trying to upsell with claiming more is wrong than actually is. I paid my £129 had the initial engineer visit and was unconvinced by the diagnosis on my dishwasher after his 1 minute review. On top of which it was allegedly a "special order set of parts" at another £180 (so over £300 in total) and would take 2-4 weeks to fix. I've since called Bosch out who have repaired the machine in the first visit within a week of booking for £200 all in and it didn't need multiple parts. So my suspicions on the incompetence of the Go Assist engineer were correct. Go Assist are refusing to refund me though despite poor service so will be pursuing through the credit card company.
