GBLIES, DECEPTIVE PRACTICES, FAILURE TO FULFILL PROMISED SERVICES, INCOMPETENCY, POOR SERVICE, POOR QUALITY, BLAMES AMAZON & READERS FOR THEIR ERRORS, ETC. LIES, LIES and more DOCUMENTED LIES. The majority of my readers are Kindle readers (and in other countries too where there are no Amazon printing presses) so the ebook is VERY important. A READER (yes, one of my readers!) complained to me about the lack of Table of Contents, difficulty navigating it, & how whoever uploaded it for me was deceptive & lazy, At first the project manager denied it, lied & said the reader hadn't purchased it & was just looking at a "preview" screen. This is FALSE and part of a pattern of blaming others (from the reader, to the reader's device, basically gaslighting their experience). To make a VERY LONG story short, there were further lies & contradictions to what Amazon KDP told me (Do NOT trust these people to give you accurate information or to communicate with Amazon for you, just go to Amazon KDP directly). He kept refusing to send the promised .kcp and .kpf files and I found out why was because when I went into them, guess what, NO TOC setup! Called him out on it, he said he'd get the revised files to me that same day. Didn't happen. Given that it was "already done" shouldn't have taken long but no, kept giving different turnaround estimates and then finally, when he sent files (after I'd already told him it was all over, just refund it), guess what he sent? More .PDF files to cover his butt, even though I'd already shown SCREENSHOTS of AMAZON saying to not do that, to upload the KindleCreate files, but he'd rather argue over his (sloppy) way (that cuts corners and full of errors) is better than Amazon's, that he knows more, etc. After a WEEK of getting diff. excuses, more promises not fulfilled, more lies & more delays, I finally said enough, and requested a refund for the ebook part of the deal so I can hire someone else to fix this. It is humiliating, it impacts my bottom line, I'm tired of them saying they worked on something only to find out they did NOT (they're supposed to fix the TOC in KindleCreate & did not do it yet), and then more excuses and guilt trips about the PM's personal life (last time it was being sick and this time it's a fiance in the hospital). I am empathetic but that's not my problem as the customer. At this point, I've lost trust & just want to be done with these people, & my money back. Oh, and P.S. Their child-company/subsidiary you end up working with (the contract/payment goes to Amazon Publishing Network but the project management team is also with this sub) do not appear to be licensed in Florida even though that's where their website claims they are located. Amazon Publishing Network LLC is licensed in Delaware. Oh, also, some of the guys in the chat will try to get customers to think they are AMAZON and they are NOT.

GBI had a great experience with Aly I had a great experience with Aly, my project manager. He stayed in frequent contact with me while formatting and publishing my book. He went well beyond his required scope of work to mitigate my lack of technical skills.

GBA positive experience Self publishing can be a daunting task. Chris Walter of Amazon Publishing made the process easy from start to finish. He kept in constant contact and explained each part of the process. As a new writer his help was invaluable. I recommend Chris and his team for anyone looking to self publish.
