Please look at his earlier responses to my review. You will see that he said I was paid in full and that they will give me my book cover and video if I asked. I’m still waiting. Lies Hello! My name is Shamane Howe. I had to move forward with a copyright infringement on Rushmore Press and I am now being threatened with them doing a bogus press release saying that they have emails that they sent my edited video when they first made it. That’s not the video I am wanting. They are trying to keep my trailer that I paid for, for some reason. I have submitted evidence to the BBB and to Amazon and couple other companies to put them on notice about this company. I would like to send TrustPilot several emails of them giving me their word that they would send me my video and that they owed me nothing. Although I never received royalties. Please do your research on this company. Now this guy is emailing me saying that my email is troubling and that TrustPilot is going to drop me for extortion!!! I don’t know what these people are on but it’s not good! I find that hard to believe because TODAY was the first day that you’re able to admit that I am still owed! At least that’s what all our back and forth emails are saying. I am also taking this seriously enough to make a police report because I really don’t know what your company is capable of. You just said that I was trying to extort you. That I am spamming and lying! All are false! Please unless you’re sending my video or my money STOP Contacting me. Please go through your Attorney. Also my mother has been dead! She died years ago! She couldn’t have given permission from the grave nor pay for anything! She was on assistance and only made $700 a month so I guess that’s a another LIE he’s trying to claim as real and a insult! Defamation. How Professional! Then he is saying that I am refusing my royalties but I have countless emails and Complaints to the BBB and TrustPilot saying that I want my money! He never stated that I refused the money until today!! All the other 99 times I emailed them or filed a complaint he told them that I had already been paid! Today you asked for my check account! If you sent it before where did you send it? I sure don’t have it! I asked him to send me how much did I make in total including what he considers his cut and he called that extortion!! Another thing what kind of company keeps sending emails at 11:17pm to argue instead of fixing the problem by sending me my video! Rushmore Press! That’s who! He keeps saying that I have issues… only because I am not allowing him to bamboozle me anymore! If anyone wants to any of our emails please leave me a message. Update 2/10/2026 I found out today that Rushmore Press is still selling my book on Amazon! It’s not a third party seller.,. How is that possible when I am no longer with them?! This company is a scam! They are taking Authors books and money!the copy of my cancellation agreement to @Trustpilot @BBB and @Amazon

Enormous Disappointment I could not be more dissatisfied with my Rushmore experience. It took about a year longer than expected for them to get my book published (and that is after I had published with Authorhouse which was a better experience but Rushmore promised me more royalties!). So far, one year later, I have received NOTHING...no royalties, no communication except someone from Rushmore trying to sell me another "deal". like an ad in the New York Times?? Nope. I am very disappointed. The time frame was horrible and I paid out my money and my end of things and I really wish I could see something in return...because I know a lot of people contacting me that they bought my book!

I have felt highly respected and valued… I have felt highly respected and valued as an author by Beth Oliver. She has consistently done her best to understand my queries, needs and requests, and has followed through with clarity. I feel satisfied with the outcome of working with Rushford Press, thanks to Ms. Oliver. Treat her well and observe and learn from her. She is a true credit to Rushmore.

Jack Was Not Your Usual Cat..... Jack was not your usual cat. He lost one eye, requiring having his eyelids on one eye sewn together. He was born with his his other eye being very cloudy, giving him very little vision. He was essentially blind, and also had very brown fur because he was malnourished. The book cover represents him perfectly in the state in which I found him, although it took about 4 tries by the illustrators to get Jack to that point. Kudos to the illustrators, and thanks from me.

A "Work-in-Process" rating...Rushmore Press As a "work-in-process" rating...the folks at Rushmore have just (ahead of schedule) upgraded 70 pieces of art covering two children's books and the results (as promised) are better than the original art that was provided. They have also been open to (and completed) adjustments/requests on cover art, fonts, and other design details (I request them, and they make them). Impressive so far - really looking forward to the finished product!
