GBWedding Registry For a wedding, I think it is embarrassing to charge the guests who are donating money to your registry a credit card percentage of the amount they donate. The percentage should come out of the fund so the guests aren't aware of the percentage loss nor have their credit card charged even more for the amount they thought they were paying.

GBpoor Verbiage used by staff was not geared to nonprofits ("pricing" for acknowledgment gifts, etc) Cost of using the service was NOT clearly explained upfront. Phone service was advertised but when requested we were told we were expecting "too much", and they would not be providing "consulting" services. When we stated that the costs were not clearly explained we were berated and the owner was very defensive and accusatory - very poor customer service. We were trying out the service, and if it worked would have done another larger campaign in the spring. As it is we will not and will warn others away.

GBA good place to start your crowdfunding efforts Setting up the different pages was pretty easy and we like the overall look and feel of the site. However, we did have a couple of issues. There was a bug in getting photos and videos to appear correctly. And there were many fraudulent charges coming through to our account. Both issues were fixed but I feel like there was not a quick way to access a help desk. When something went wrong I had to send an email and wait almost 24 hours for the issue to be resolved. Luckily the issues were not time sensitive.

GBAverage they didnt reply to my emails about how to allow people to donate beyond the target amount, which meant I had to keep checking and increasing the target manually. I was worried as I read bad reviews after finishing my campaign and was worried that I wouldnt recieve the money, but I got the money and a call back within a couple of hours. The call centre is based away from the business so the people on the phone have no information and you are relying on a call back which feels a bit unnerving.

GBLove the site, don't love all the email I love the functionality of the website. It's a terrific service and the fees seem fair. What I don't like is the inability to opt out of all of the marketing messages. I'm using the service to manage contributions to a surprise gift for my wife, and it's difficult to keep it a surprise when Deposit a Gift messages pop up in my email multiple times per week. I'm paying for the service, I should have the option to turn these messages off.
