GBGreat customer support but missing a few key features We had a good experience with Deposit a Gift. Customer service was very responsive and extremely helpful. Over all I liked it but I think it needs some work still. A couple of things I didn't like. Don't like the Deposit a Gift banner across the top of my fundraiser - green color didn't mesh well with the design we chose plus I felt like we paid for the site so we should be featured at the top. Was unable to refund customer through deposit a gift, this was tough because we paid the fee for the gift which we didn't get refunded. This is probably the deal breaker for us. The option to e-mail donors from Deposit a Gift would have also been helpful.

GBConsider all your options. I think the security hold time and the processing time is way to long to hold the donations. The whole reason for signing up for the fundraiser was to help a family in need during the loss of a loved one. It has been 10 days and the family has still not been able to access funds they were needing to apply towards funeral cost. I think the 72 hour security hold should be it and then they should let the beneficiary have immediate access to the donations. 10 days after a donation and the status is still showing pending after the donations were suppose to be cashed out is just crazy. Next time I may consider other fundraising options to help a family in need ,because in a critical time of need 2 weeks to wait on funds is not appropriate in my eyes. Especially if the contributors had just given cash or even sent it by mail it would have been available sooner then using give a gift.

GBpoor Verbiage used by staff was not geared to nonprofits ("pricing" for acknowledgment gifts, etc) Cost of using the service was NOT clearly explained upfront. Phone service was advertised but when requested we were told we were expecting "too much", and they would not be providing "consulting" services. When we stated that the costs were not clearly explained we were berated and the owner was very defensive and accusatory - very poor customer service. We were trying out the service, and if it worked would have done another larger campaign in the spring. As it is we will not and will warn others away.

GBWedding Registry For a wedding, I think it is embarrassing to charge the guests who are donating money to your registry a credit card percentage of the amount they donate. The percentage should come out of the fund so the guests aren't aware of the percentage loss nor have their credit card charged even more for the amount they thought they were paying.

GBUnacceptable - Please use another service This company shut down two of my campaigns and also refunded all of the monies to contributors without any prior notification to me. Once I called in they did not return my phone calls. They then sent a very cryptic email with hardly any information. I will never use this service again.
