GB3 steps plus phone tag to open account The website says 3 steps to open an account but neglects the fourth step of a week of phone tag with Sara. Since it’s not our first account not sure why this call is needed. To avoid this delay just use the secure message platform or if a verbal confirmation really is needed for some reason make an appointment.

GBhelpful and courteous I used the Northwest Branch more than usual about 6 months ago. People were helpful, asking questions of each other so that they could resolve issues as they arose. I went there today too for more routine business, and I had no problem.

GBI recently opened an additional account… I recently opened an additional account and the service was stellar! I just tore my office apart looking for the young man's name who helped Me! I can't find it and I always write down a name. I'm guessing it was John or Dan? This gentleman needs recognition for His patience and ability to explain things in a perspective anyone could understand. His follow through and attention to detail is what is missing in way too many business's today. He also explained to Me the method of what I will be encountering when I purchase/select an online digital Stock Platform, most helpful Person I have had the pleasure of doing business with. GBWonderful customer service. recently very disappointed with our credit union of many years, we switched to Great Basin Federal Credit Union and have been thrilled to once again feel like we have a place of business where we are valued as a customer. GBHappy to be here, some minor kinks We used to bank with a big branch but switched because of the fees and low savings rates. We like that GBFCU is local to home and has a variety of products that will serve our family. The sign up process was a little more in depth than if you go to other banks, but we had our new account opened and ready to use with debit cards within a week. However, 3 months in, we realized we weren’t getting all the benefits and high interest rate on our high yield checking. The customer service guy at GBFCU was really helpful and I’m so glad we have a high yield checking, but I was frustrated that it took us two months to get all the perks of the account because of a system error. I signed up for e-bills online (twice), but it didn’t “take” until I called the branch after not getting my higher interest rate for the second month in a row. I was disappointed, and they couldn’t make it retroactive, so if you switch to this bank, be aware of that. Make sure you do all the steps and verify with the branch. Other than that, I’ve been pretty happy overall and am glad to be banking with a credit union now.
