GBInteractive Brokers is to investors what Disneyland is to little kids: a playground for the imagination I'm a retail trader and an IB customer for over a decade. IB's Educational tools opens the door to a vast domain of learning opportunity. IB's Trader Workstation opens the door to a vast domain of trading opportunity. You can inexpensively trade anything on any market in the world: stocks, options, bonds, futures, currency. It's the best platform out there.

GBVery unfriendly system The only thing easy to use is depositing your money. Expensive to trade. Very limited withdrwal options. Overall I find it difficult to use and moving away Completly.

AURecently signed up from NZ. Recently signed up from NZ. Deposits arrive very quickly, sometimes an hour, sometimes 2-3 hours. Very quick compared to local options we have in NZ. Only contact support once so far, I wasn't getting SMSs, support replied within 12h and fixed the issue. Fees are low and the web interface is easy enough to use once you get used to it. (wouldn't recommend the downloadable app for Mac though, it uses Java, which is kinda painful)

GBTop trading broker for retail investors also Pros- Best spreads for consumer/trader Excellent access to real time market data (paid) Excellent margin rates Great execution Innovating to progress and keep up Improved customer service Professional client services including chat service Access to overnight trading when enabled Cons - Old technology on TWS Steep learning curve UI on the web keeps logging/dropping off sometimes Not suitable for all types of traders (new starters etc) If not careful costs add up, as one would expect

SGUnreasonable Restrictions on withdrawals I had increased my deposit substantially for some time as I was keen on trading more frequently. However, apart from options trading more frequently for about a year or so, I chanced upon a crypto course. As I needed to fund the crypto account, I withdrew 30% of MY OWN MONEY. I received a “Restriction Warning” for withdrawing USD and accused of primarily converting deposited funds to another currency (USD) and then withdraw those funds. CRAZY!!
