I went with Canvas/Puritan Life for the… I went with Canvas/Puritan Life for the fixed interest rate. The rate Is 75 bp higher than any other company I researched due to the "do It yourself" platform. Puritan Life's BBB+ rating by AM Best is acceptable but unfortunately there is no Comdex rating for Puritan. I would prefer dealing with an agent but for 75bp it's worth doing the legwork. Canvas needs to do a better job marketing their product. Unfortunately I rolled my wife's 403b about 10 months ago into a lower interest rate with a different annuity company.

Who Needs An Agent? Not Me !!! Online digital application is neat, clean, comprehensible, easy to follow step by step instructions. The customer service is fantastic. They answer emails very quickly; they return phone call very quickly as well. The portal is the best. Everything is there...info, correspondence inbound and out, easy to edit and update; all financial data at your fingertips.

Online application process is quick and simple - just be sure to follow the instructions properly. Before purchasing a MYGA, or other annuity product, check your own state's Insurance Guaranty Association to understand your protection limits.

Excellent Process and Rates The Canvas online process was simple and efficient. When I had questions (3-4 times) I was able to speak with Cynthia who is outstanding. She was kind helpful and organized and always had the correct answers! I picked Canvas for its terrific 7-year rates and I'm looking forward to compounding! The funding process questions were handled by Brody efficiently and Amanda was really a star getting me the new Canvas rates on my Annuity.
