Metlife for Pets insurance is absolutely useless, bordering on criminal. Metlife for Pets insurance is absolute garbage, they are a bunch of inept operators and fraudulent insurers. We have had Pet Insurance for our pets for several years and recently we were misled into switching to them, worst mistake ever! Every single claim we have made to Metlife for Pets was automatically denied, they setup dozens of troublesome and time consuming knots and loops.Even on a claim for $150!!! We are exhausted and very aggravated with the whole experience of dealing with them,my wife was on the phone for 5 hours on one instance, made dozens of calls and e-mails,they throw you in a laberinth of dead ends and never ending freefalls, call center staff seem mentally challenged and uneducated, they demand Veterinarian notes, and records since my pets were born, they lose Veterinarian files and reports, erroneously assign wrong claimants, asking for uninvolved pet’s health records.Basically they over promise and under deliver their benefits, overstate the ease of filing claims( these guys are worse than the IRS).We are disgusted and dissatisfied with everything about them, fortunately we terminated our policies after a few months after we initiated them,we are going back to our prior insurer.

You replied to my Trustpilot post… You replied to my Trustpilot post requesting contact information. I sent it two days ago, No contact yet. In spite of my request from the “adjuster” I have had no return contact from her either. Your customer service is the WORST EVER and your financial responsibility dodge is the pits. You shouldn’t be in this business. ADDENDUM: I just received confirmation of a claim approval consistent with the policy coverage I paid for. What is still sad is having to go through a lot of grief to get it done correctly and timely. I thank Kaitlin Casper for a successful intercession. Let's ow long it takes to get the check.

Good luck getting a reimbursement in a reasonable amount of time, if at all. I submitted a claim for a month before this review. It took them 10 days to ask for more info only after I called them. After another 10 days, I called again and they needed more paperwork. In both cases, I sent the paperwork the same day. I am now at 30 days without resolution and another phone call was a waste of time. The customer service people are friendly and helpful, as much as they can, but the online chat never works. I wish I had never left Nationwide, they paid promptly.

Don't buy Metlife pet insurance … Until 6 months ago I was happy with Metlife but now I am receiving the same runaround as everyone else. I am repeatedly told to resubmit the same documents, the phone staff say that they have everything and that they are "making a note" for the claim reviewers, then 3 days later another 4 am email telling me to submit paperwork. Their latest game is requiring proof of previous insurance, even for brand new conditions and illnesses. If a health insurance company for people tried this they would be fine and shut down. The middle of the night emails are making me think that claims processing has been outsourced to overseas contractors. I would avoid Metlife at all costs!
