Kim Shackelford @ Better Lending was… Kim Shackelford @ Better Lending was amazing! What ever your team is paying her, it isn't enough! Her work ethic was incredible / late night questions answered / weekends it didn't matter! Response time was Immediate! I am a retired Air Force Chief Master Sgt and have supervised thousands of troops and she easily would sit at the top 1% when it comes to knowledge, energy, attitude, and with a positive outlook while walking you through each step of the process! Would recommend Better Lending without a second thought, and already have referred about 4 or 5 folks! Will Urick

Better Lending rates great, but Rep sold us! Wow, I've done a lot of refi's over the years but thanks to Carter Thomas, none have ever been so seamless! We had received multiple offers in the mail to refi and after countless phone calls and exchanges of information, we settled on Better Lending. Their rates and closing costs were very competitive, but what sold us was Carter. I asked a thousand questions and made him go over the particulars of their offer multiple times to ensure there wasn't some hidden or unexplained cost. Because he was so kind, patient, and knowledgeable, we decided to go with Better Lending, even though our own well-known bank offered to match Better Lending's offer. He cared about earning our business more than our current lender appeared to care about keeping it. Thanks, Carter, for making this experience the best refi we've done to date!

Home Refinance Process - very easy and worry-free From the very beginning of the process until the last day, Dawson Moreau did an excellent job of communicating with us. He contacted us on a regular basis - - each week - - to keep us updated on the status of our home loan. He immediately notified us when additional documents were needed and let us know each time he received the requested documents. We were cautious about refinancing our home because we thought the entire process would be a nightmare, but Dawson made everything very simple and worry-free. It was a pleasure doing business with you. Thank you!

Prior to trying to refi with better… Prior to trying to refi with better lending I tried with American finance. American finance paid for my appraisal and at the end I was unable to refi because I needed reserves that I didn't have..no biggie... then better lending told me they didn't see why I needed reserves and could refi and get me a great rate.. after a month of dealing with the paperwork and getting my appraisal that I had to pay 700.00 to get. They asked if I had reserves and that if I didn't they couldn't help me. So at the end of all this. I'm not getting my refi and I'm out 700 bucks for things I told them about and Sean told me oh no no you will be great we will get this all done... worst experience ever.

The first agent that took my call… The first agent that took my call started the lending process and then just disappeared. I thought I had used a fraudulent company! I called the customer service number and got Lindsay. She took our file over and started to get everything back on track. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the process took too long and right when I thought we were going to sign, there was a change and we were told we were going to have to do a first and second on our house. Lindsay saved the day again and she was able to get our refinance back to the original agreement. Lindsay was always available and although things got rocky at the end, she stayed in touch and followed through on her commitments.
