About Unison

Unison is a San Francisco and Omaha, Nebraska based company that is pioneering a smarter, better way to own your home. Until now, the only way to finance a home was by taking on debt. Through equity sharing agreements, we help homeowners access their equity flexibly with no monthly payments or interest. We enhance home affordability, reduce debt, and deliver a less risky way for homeowners, investors, and society to think about their most important asset - the home. Things went smoothly Once we got past the prelims, process was quick and painless. Only wish that we couldve put a few thousand less into or mortgage balance so we had more funds. Would have preferred to put $12,000 towards balance instead of $18,000. Otherwise, everything was great.

A Lifesaver! Although the process seemed to take forever, the outcome was quite satisfying. I had been turned down for home equity loans, but Unison offered me exactly what I needed. I will have all my credit card debt paid off by the end of this year, plus I can finally start saving more money each month. Thank you, Unison!

Smooth, Straightforward Process Equity sharing with Unison allows us the ability to renovate our kitchen and primary bathroom. It's a great solution for those who don't want a monthly payment but it needs to be a good fit based on your circumstances. I thought the process went very smoothly and our Unison Account Executive kept us informed every step of the way. I'm confident that it was the best decision for us.

Ok but a little disappointed The person who assisted me was good and helpful however the appraisal was inaccurate to me and I really didn’t get to do what I wanted as I didn’t get enough funds because of appraisal. The house was appraised at 257K while my neighbor who has the same size house as me sold his house two weeks later at 379K. I just needed an extra 10,000 to do a fence but I think the appraisal could have been better. However I do appreciate the help I got but it could have been better.

Heaven Sent? It's almost like our partnering with Unison was meant to be. They were very helpful at every stage and never treated us as if we stupid or a nuisance like we were by a different financial institution. The possibility of accessing our equity without having to reset the mortgage had never occurred to us until the mailer with their offer arrived. It was exactly what we needed. Thanks Unison
