GBUse Trivago with caution Using Trivago, in my experience, means connecting with another company for the actual booking. My booking experience for an airline ticket to Barcelona was a pure bait and switch. The site quoted me an attractive price and I booked, but I got an “urgent message” that there was a problem with my credit card. The problem turned out to be that the ticket at the level they had advertised could not be purchased. They offered me a ticket for the same itinerary for $200 more. I declined and they canceled the transaction. But I checked the Trivago site after this call, and the ticket at the “bait” price was still on the site.

FRI use trivago since a long time I use trivago since a long time, helped me to save a lot of money a time for my hotels bookings

GBThey use Scam Booking Companies I booked a hotel on this site through Algotels and Algotels will not respond to my request to cancel. Have sent at least 6 messages to customer services with no response and when I go to website to cancel I receive an error message. I would not use Trivago since you could end up booking through Algotels on their site.....RUN

GBComplete waste of time Complete waste of time, which for me, equals $. I tried 2 browsers, 2 different credit cards, late night then again next AM. Could not advance beyond "Complete Booking" tab. Called their 877 number & spoke with useless, inept support, apart from giving me another 844 number to phone to complete transaction. After reading these reviews, I suspect Trivago could not complete booking because this was another bait & switch gimmick. NFW

AUACCC has shown they mislead customers Fined for misleading customers by the ACCC. Their credibility won't recover. Even now with some checks on rooms if inexpensive comes back as unavailable on those dates. However a check on a more reputable sites show availability. Puts up low misleading ratings for reviews, however when one tries to read these reviews you are unable to. Trivago is a waste of time, poor value and as the ACCC found has mislead the public.
