GBAirhostforyou have been amazing hosting… Airhostforyou have been amazing hosting my property. They have managed to completely fill my calendar, even through the winter months. Whenever there have been issues at the property, such as minor plumbing and boiler problems they have responded very quickly to fix them and have managed to arrange repairs at reasonable cost. They have exceeded my expectations in every respect. If you have a property you wish to rent out, I cannot recommend them more highly. Thank you Airhostforyou!

GBNot a great experience We used Airhost's full management service while we were travelling for three months. I'll start with the positives. Airhost were generally easy to get hold of and their staff were all friendly. They provided an initial property visit to give advice on how to prepare the property, and the photos and advert they produced for the property looked good. We were also surprised by the nightly rate we could get for our flat. When we returned from travelling our flat was very clean, as we had left it. However, there were a number of areas where we felt let down. 1) We received several reviews with negative feedback on their stays as a result of Airhost not doing their job as well as they should around the check-in process. For example, basic things like guests not being told the flat number or how to access the parking area (both on more than one occasion). 2) Because of this, we weren't able to completely switch off from looking after the property while we were away, and on several occasions had to answer questions from airhost that we had addressed before. We also no doubt lost out on income as a result of some less than positive reviews. 3) Airhost's pricing structure is quite opaque, and given the issues we experienced with Airhost's management, didn't feel like good value for money. All in, for the full management service including tax, we paid around 30% of our earnings (EDIT: to be clear, this because the 18% quoted doesn’t include a load of additional charges, as well as VAT). I haven't done a like-for-like comparison with other companies so I'm not sure if that's expensive, but it's worth being aware that's what it adds up to. Some of the fees also feel unnecessary and petty. For example, a £9.99 annual fee to write welcome messages to guests feels petty relative to a property being let out for £200 a night; and a £25 monthly replenishment charge, which is charged whether the property is booked for one night in a month or the whole month. We were also told that we'd have to pay an extra £100 for them to send us electronic copies of the photos they took of our property. Based on this experience, I'd find it hard to recommend Airhost's services, unfortunately.

GBA great team retreat Our team have really enjoyed staying at the location provided by Airhost. The team have gone above and beyond to help us prepare for the stay and support us during this week long stay. We had lots of queries before the trip - all dealt with perfectly. We also had the normal ad hoc questions during our stay and had to extend our stay for one day. We had super fast and efficient responses to every question and situation which all add up to exceptional service. The property was beautiful clean and ideally situated. Big thank you to the Airhost team, you will be our first port of call for all of our future trips.

GBProperty Owners should avoid this company I tried to set up my flat as airbnb as I am currently letting it in Brighton and live a long way away to manage it myself and I thought what a great idea fore this company to manage my business for me. However, apart from slick marketing emails, the communication from them is poor / non-existant and when they requested that I meet them at my flat face to face, I let them know I was over 3 hours drive away (each way) and that this was not very likely, they declined to discuss business any further because I must attend in person due to "policy". Their staff was unhelp to resolve the matter (no discussion about alternatives) and when I tried to understand this policy I was just fobbed off with excuses eg " we need to collect property details", when I asked which property details could not be given by phone or email, I received the response "it's policy" and no further elaboration except "it's policy", clearly they have no idea why they have this policy - I suggested for insurance or health and safety (which might at least make sense) but still all the explanation I recived was "it's policy". Attempts to contact the owner have been blanked. As a small business owner myself, I would be extremely annoyed to find out I was losing business because of unknown and inexplicable "policies" that staff don't care about or understand. With a sensible conversation, we could have worked something out but as the owner has failed to contact me back to see if there is a way forward, it must be systemic. I am glad I in not get involved with this group of people. Avoid at all costs if you are a landlord / property owner looking for help with airbnb. UPDATE: I just received a nonsense reply to my complaint 18 months after the event saying that I did not supply any info. That is nonsense as I spoke multiple times on the phone with them trying to sort things out. I sent the business owner emails and left my phone number to call me back and nothjng. Not worth bothering with. Do not deal with these people.
