what a great hat company! I really enjoyed getting a couple hats from these folks. After I placed my order I received regular emails, with pictures, of my actual hats being completed. The updates gave a real sense of working with artisans and not some giant faceless corporation. The hats were done within a few days and arrived within a couple weeks, in a sturdy box with a cardboard form to keep their shape. The sweatbands and hatbands were very well attached and the fit was exactly as I had ordered, using the company's easy-to-use hat-fitting tape you can print on any computer printer. If you really want a hat that fits your exact size head, these folks are a great way to go.

Excellent Handmade Panama Hats Authentic handmade Panama hats (made in Ecuador) are becoming more and more rare. Having bought several Cuenca and Montecristi hats from Panama Hats Direct, I can attest to their quality, fair pricing and service. With a small head, I mostly have to have mine made to order, which produces a hat made to specification. I have kept one Montecristi in my car in Florida for several years, and worn it constantly. While it has naturally darkened a bit, there has been no degradation or cracking of the straw.

They provided a way of getting my size right, the website has excellent images of designs and gives good descriptions. Following my order, they sent emails to let me know where they are up to in the making. After receiving the hat (in good condition) I had follow up questions which were dealt with personally, very promptly, and politely. If there were six stars, I'd give them.

I own over thirty hats and will not deal with any other company or person for my panama's. A word of caution, there are others trying to make you believe they are the "Panama Hat Direct Co." by misspelling the name and using it as theirs or by using the words in front of their Mall Company. DON'T BE FOOLED. Casey is a honorable man, his prices are very fair and he treats the artisans and customers honestly. Truly none better.
