Declining quality of Skagen watches My view is that the quality of Skagen watches has declined considerably. The Skagen watch purchased as a present for me by my partner three years ago was less than 18 months old when the internal parts had to be replaced. Two years later, the internal parts would have to be replaced again (the second hand keeps sticking). She and I won't be buying any more Skagen watches. My other Skagen watch is more than 12 years old and is still working satisfactorily.

Poor Customer ‘Service’ During a recent trip abroad, my 5 year old Skagen Connect watch failed to sync with my iPhone, despite my repeatedly refreshing the App that I had on the phone. The watch was therefore useless. On my return, I have contacted Customer ‘Service’ UK three times. Each time they said a link would be emailed to me to enable a fresh syncing. Nothing has yet happened. I have two other simple Skagen watches which are stylish and reliable. If you require Customer ‘Service’ for anything more sophisticated, it may not be forthcoming.

Appaling customer service Appaling customer service. Ordered a necklace, and got different style earrings instead. When complained, got told I need to send them back and wait 14 days for a refund. No attempt to rectify the situation or offer to send a replacement. Won't use again.

Battery failed in 2 months - expensive convoluted returns process Bought Melbye Titanium in which the battery failed within a couple of months. Fossil Group have committed to change this for free [tbc], but the convolution of the process and the cost of posting and insurance etc is simply unacceptable for something that could easily be fixed in any of their numerous bricks and mortar stores OR a free returns Amazon style service. Its just poor. Wouldnt buy direct from them again. Simply not worth it.

Be wary before placing an order Skagen are advertising items for sale that they are not always able to deliver. They admit that they are unable to track stock between warehouse and retail. They give no apology for this neither do they advise customers of this before they place orders. This results in customer frustrations that are seen on review websites. None that I have read are overstated. I wish I had read them first. Clearly a company suffering from underinvestment especially in customer service as it does not exist.
