Beware!! Beware!!! We booked a room thinking we were booking through Hampton Inn. Canceled the reservation 15 minutes after booking and was told they were taking one night cost as a fee. Just tried calling again and they won’t even answer the phone unless you want to make a new reservation. This is unprofessional and a scam.

Don't book with Getaroom I thought I was booking a room via The Travelodge website, but it was actually Getaroom posing as the hotel. Super dodgy! Once I had booked and placed the payment, the amount taken from my card was almost double what it should have been. I immediately called their customer service number, but couldn't speak to an actual human, just a robot. No matter what option I selected, I was unable to speak to any customer service rep to provide help! Don't book with getaroom.

Beware!! Scam!! This must be criminal? Thought I was making reservation through booking.com. Somehow it was redirected. Reservation was supposed to be $327.37. After I gave credit card info they charged $442 and over a$10O in “Tax Recovery and Service”. Have screenshots. Tried to cancel immediately and rebook with Booking.com but it was now “prepaid” Tried to call no one answers. Email response was basically auto reply. The hotel clerk was upset, said she couldn’t do anything because they are “3rd party” After the fact I’ve read this a common practice by Getaroom. This must be criminal or certainly a horrid way to treat people.

If you are reading this it’s hopefully not too late Website to book impersonating hotel site- no third party logo and hotel name in web address. Booking defaulted to the current date as I tried to confirm booking. Nightmare trying to get through to someone via telephone- robot not understanding ‘yes’ in standard English accent. Put through to customer services and was advised unable to refund and reschedule for correct date. When queried they hung up on me. Phone company informed me call had cost £10.

Stay away from this company I should make a reservation at the hotels own webpage. But in some way I must have been redirected to this service, the ordner went through and has been confirmed by the hotel. The room price that I was given was 853 NOK, app 77 USD. A reasonable price. But after I had paid i discoverd that i had paid an addition of 41 USD, a total of 118 USD. I called the company and explained the situation, but the only answer they had was that the amount was not refundable. I feel that I have been trapped, misled and manipulated. The situation can be solved if you give me back the 41 USD.
