GBGetaroom.com Saved Me Money Getaroom.com has great customer service, which isn't easy to find these days. I originally had a issue that was mostly my fault for not paying attention to details, and they made it right. Ultimately saving me money overall which is the core of their business. If you're looking for the best rate for a room, explore all your options, including getaroom.com, and I'm sure you'll find the best deal available.

GBThink con-job. Encourage everyone to report to BBB. Think con-job. Thrives on deceptive marketing, having their company appear before the actual hotel direct booking link. My dad (im his 70s) booked a room through what he thought was The Comfort Inn (had the logo at the top of the page), where we've stayed for years, after checking out and being charged a $100.00 fee, he realized it was a third party and canceled immediately. Turns out you can cancel, but the cancelation is non-refundable.

GBAppear to be scammers Update: Their customer service responded quickly. I was unable to answer the phone when they called so they sent an email advising a refund of $31.01. I’m not sure how they arrived at the amount. It’s a little better than half that I figured I over paid, but enough to settle the dust. I do give their customer service credit for good service, they are anxious to have the negative star rating removed. So to be fair, I have changed my star rating to a three, meeting them at the half way point as they did my refund. —————————— I’d say, by the time you are reading this, you are already a victim. Unknown at the time, somehow, during the reservation call to the hotel, this company takes over the call and you’re actually booking thru them. I didn’t realize this until checked out and saw charges on my invoice for a room that had already been paid for when booked. When I saw this, the hotel clerk saw that getaroom.com had actually made the booking. They said this happens fairly often, you call the hotel reservation number and unknown to you during a transfer, they capture the call. I now realize I overpaid for my room, $174 vs. $134 and was charged a $8.99 reservation fee. I see, compared to others reviews, I was lucky to only be overcharged nearly $50 but it’s still a scam and needs to be called out. They are hijacking the call and charging more than the hotel would charge, all under the cover of deceiving you. Playing back the events of the call, I thought it strange how much they stressed my reservation and any charges were non refundable. If their customer service needs to investigate, my confirmation number was: 82576091.

GBDon't book with Getaroom I thought I was booking a room via The Travelodge website, but it was actually Getaroom posing as the hotel. Super dodgy! Once I had booked and placed the payment, the amount taken from my card was almost double what it should have been. I immediately called their customer service number, but couldn't speak to an actual human, just a robot. No matter what option I selected, I was unable to speak to any customer service rep to provide help! Don't book with getaroom.
