PEChachapoyas Chachapoyas The guide (Julio) was very competent and knowledgeable. The high altitudes were a bit of a challenge for our lungs, but Julio was very patient and allowed for frequent stops. Both drivers (the one on our first day) and (the one that took us around during the rest of the trip) were very good and cautious enough to make us feel comfortable. Our stay at the Gocta Lodge was great (the only suggestion I would make would be an earlier time for dinner, 8:30 pm seems a bit late with a big hike planned for the next day). My wife and I appreciated the close contact with the owner. Our stay at Casa Dona Lola was fine and the owners were very approachable and pleasant. The hotel in Chachapoyas is a different story. There was a lot of noisy street traffic noise outside our room and the windows/door did nothing to keep it out. The curtains on the window were not dark enough to block light from the street lamps. (The only way I could get some sleep was by resorting to earplugs and eye cover.) Last but not least the sink in the bathroom did not drain properly. My overall assessment is that the trip was very well organized. Improvements should be made (choice of another hotel?) to take care of the issues I raised regarding the accommodation at Chachapoyas.

GBOur trip was great! Our trip was great! Your company did a great job coordinating all the details of a multicity adventure. The tour guides and drivers in Chile and Argentina were very knowledgeable and courteous. We felt like we were given a full tour of every city we visited. We just need more time in the future to explore deeper. Accommodations, wine tours and meals were great! The only issue we had was that we were promised some recipes from the Dakshu vegetarian cooking class, but never received anything. When I emailed the Buenos Aires company, Lihue(?) Expeditions, they never replied. If there's anything you can do to help, that be great! Cheers, Mark & Melissa

GBGo elsewhere for your travel needs! I have the same experience as others with no returned calls or emails. We had a trip planned for October, 2020 and it was canceled. Andrew, the owner, will not refund our down payment. He won’t even bother to communicate with me. Thankfully we didn’t pay the balance on the trip. I’ve used Lost World in the past, but I would strongly recommend you find another travel agent. Safe travels!

GBAndrew stole our money ($22,000) that… Andrew stole our money ($22,000) that we paid for a luxury Ecuador / Peru vacation. He also stole $8,000 from our friend that was meeting us in South America. He first took our calls in 2020-2021, then disconnected all numbers. We went to the credit card company, and were unable to get a refund. He is a scammer. Beware! The trip was in April 2020, but I finished with the credit card company in May 2022.

GBWonderful experiences We have travelled with Lost World Adventures many times over the years and been to so many places we would never have imagined possible. Wonderful, knowledgable guides booked by Lost World who went the extra mile with help and information. Great feeling of being adventurous and yet knew we were in capable hands ! Thank you so much and look forward to another trip soon.
