American company selling Canadian lift tickets in US dollars. Misleading consumers First off shame on me for not checking the fine print in the FAQ sheet. However i stupidly assumed that since i was purchasing lift tickets for a Canadian owned and operated resort that the price would be charged on my credit card in Canadian funds. NOT So, imagine my surprise after clicking on complete transaction that my tickets had been converted to US. No discount here in fact i ended up paying more. Liftopia took my complaint but that was it, no credit. Never ever using their service again. Liftopia you need to be more transparent and clearly state that all transactions are in US before we hit the purchase button.

Liftopia is AWESOME I read 65% of the reviews and it is all people who made mistakes and blamed their mistakes on liftopia it seems. Read what you are buying and follow the instructions. Liftopia saved me a ton of money ($250 saved on a 5 day trip) and was easier than purchasing tickets from Loveland!. I used them last year and am on the computer right now buying for this year, although they do not have Loveland yet it seems. I recommended them to everyone going on our trip this year.

Liftopia site linked to Big Sky Resort Somehow I managed to get on their website to buy lift tickets at the end of 2018 for a March trip to Big Sky MT. Our trip was canceled due to Covid and I could not get a refund. I just looked on their website and Big Sky is not on their list of tickets. Diana from Liftopia told me that "I could be creative in getting my credit used, by finding a friend of family member to use it" I didn't see the disclaimer until after I hung up that they can not be transfered to another person. Fingers are crossed I find a creative way to get my credit back. Lesson learned NEVER to use a crap site like this one.

Poor customer service Poor customer service. Life happens and there should be some leeway. I will never purchase from liftopia again. Especially when I found out the "discount" tickets would have been the same price had I bought them directly from the resort.. at least on that specific day. Wow... really? .

Unless you are a clairvoyant resort prices may be cheaper. I recently had to leave a resort early and everyone refunded the unused portion of what I had purchased. The hotel waived its refund policy without me asking. Rental people only charged me for one day. Liftopia would not even allow me to change the date. They will only do anything if you know about unforseen circumstances two full days in advance! 103Granted a cancellation may cost Liftopia something, but not the full price. Don't take the chance of having to pay much more than the resort price.
