GBExcellent workmanship, poor customer service! Work was performed well on my own chassis. Very professional, but not to the specs we discussed. Follow up with staff post conversion is very poor with no responses, call backs or solutions. Not very pleased with service, but workmanship was excellent.

GBCommunication is key Communication is key. Especially when dealing with Freedom Motors and the VA. We were not kept informed during the long process. Our free gift came broken. But we are very happy with our vehicle! After purchase we couldn't get any response from anyone from Freedoms Motors about floormats, the 2nd key, or about switching out the wheelchair locks in the van. I would recommend Freedom Motors if u are local in MI where u can reach someone there but not long distance.

GBBe ware of the honesty of sales personnel I Purchased a used Toyota sienna had asked the salesman to walk it and confirm that it was as clean as it looked on the photos and that the inside was OK. He got back to me and said that it was extremely clean in very good shape with no problems at all. When I got the van I had to sign off for quite a number of items that were damaged so that the delivery company wouldn’t get charged. There was rust on both sides that did not show on the pictures and was not told me by the salesman, inside the wiring for the attorney Chair is terribly frayed and will need to be replaced, I Called the salesman and ask him why he hadn’t told me about these things, he said well I never really was able to walk it because it was parked so closely between two other vans I couldn’t get to it so I just assumed it was OK. He had lied to me about his walk around. Also customer service is extremely poor as I asked him to have a manager called me and no one dead and I use their text link on the Website and did a chat with a chat link on the website and was told that someone would contact me, now after three weeks I still haven’t been contacted, poorest customer service of any I have ever experienced bar none.

GBPoor Management When Things Fell Apart Everything moved along nicely until a recall happened prior to shipping of vehicle. Suddenly communication came to halt. Then received a phone call from sales manager stating approximate timeline ordering and arrival of part. But then had to initiate a response three or four weeks later to learn part hadn't even been ordered by the sales manager, and would be eagerly ordered (again?). Now waiting for vehicle which may not even arrive before payment is due, and I haven't had a chance to drive it, test it out, etc. Hopefully this is not representative of future experience(s) for anyone, not just mine.

GBDishonesty and lack of follow up My 9 yr. old daughter is terminally ill and in a wheelchair. Recently our last wheelchair vehicle was totaled, and Freedom Motors had one that we liked and bought, and took delivery on 9/27/23. In fairness to them, there were good aspects of the experience – our salesperson Dominic was friendly and courteous, explaining things well and was communicative as the build process developed, which I appreciated. The process unfolded as he described, and the closing process was easy and completed quickly. And upon delivery, having not actually laid eyes on the vehicle yet, I was delighted that the quality of the mods appeared to be better than our last one (from another mfr.). So all of this was great, and until closing I would not have hesitated to recommend Freedom Motors to my friends, family, or the rare disease non-profit and community we work with. However…at closing I learned that I had been lied to. As we were evaluating vehicle options, we saw the MSRP on the one we eventually bought was $43,720 [from the factory; before any modification work]. Upon later selecting that vehicle, I was surprised to see that the asking price was $46,380 - $2,660 more than MSRP for a new vehicle already ~1 model year old. I asked about it and was told that FMI does not mark up the vehicles in their inventory, they do pass-through pricing on these and the company’s profit made is in the conversion. Further, due to the state of the car market, these vehicles (Palisades & Tellurides, specifically) had been selling above MSRP and that’s just what the market was, so I could take it or leave it. Although I didn’t love that, car valuations had been elevated post-Covid and the rest of the experience had been good, so I trusted them and accepted it at face value. Upon closing the deal and doing the title paperwork, I was upset to see in the original papers (from a dealer in Ohio) that the actual purchase price by FMI was only $42,396. So instead of passing through their purchase price as I was committed to, it was actually marked up from below MSRP that they paid to above MSRP for me – a $3,984 markup and more importantly they dishonestly did the exact opposite of what I was told. You can understand my disappointment and frustration at this ethical violation in business practice. Either my salesperson lied to me, or maybe he was lied to by his management and unknowingly passed on false information that he thought was true. Before I posted a review, I informed their customer service dept. on 10/10/23 to allow for a timely response as I understand that it’s impossible to know what every employee is doing at all times. Their Sales VP, Justin, called me to discuss it on 10/12/23 and left a voicemail. I called him back the very next day and left a message that was never returned. I followed up with a text on 10/20/23, which has also never been returned as of a week later. In sum, I would avoid dealing with anyone who deceives their customers then becomes unresponsive after they have your money. If you do choose to do business with them, beware of anything you are told and ensure you verify what you're told and get everything possible in writing.
