I least a car with Green Motion last… I least a car with Green Motion last year while on holiday in Italy. The car had damage all around it, small dents and scratches, but nothing too severe, it was all noted on the paperwork. My deposit was 900 Euros and I was told it would be deposited back into my bank account within 14 days of the end of my trip. When I dropped off the car, I took pictures of it from all angles as it was very early in the morning with no one around. I have been trying to get a response from Green Motion for 7 months about the return of my deposit. I now have an email from them claiming there was damage on the vehicle and along with a damage report they sent a photo of scratches on a car of similar colour without any proof it's the same vehicle. I have learned the hard way not to trust this rental company, after 7 months they pulled this stunt. I will not use Green Motion again this year, they are clearly desperate to make money. Green Motion is a SCAM Green Motion is a SCAM. I rented a car online for a trip to Iceland, I picked Green Motion because they were the only ones who would let me specify a Toyota Rav4 HYBRID. throughout the rental process it consistently said HYBRID. then I paid a lot extra for their 'premium' insurance package so I wouldn't have any worries at return. When picking up the car we were taken to 'Go Car' rentals and handed a standard petrol Rav4. I told them we reserved a HYBRID and they told us they don't even stock any HYBRIDS. Then I was informed that the expensive insurance was 3rd party and that I would still have to pay upfront for any damage - exactly what I wanted to avoid - and I already had 3rd party insurance through my credit card. Green Motion doesn't actually have any cars - they're a 3rd party advertising company that contracts with local rental car Co's to supply the cars - you can get a much better deal just renting directly from those companies. I didn't get anything I contracted for from Green Motion - they're a SCAM.

SCAM ALERT!!!! I sent my senior parents to Florida for their 50th anniversary for 2 weeks. My parents rented a car from Holiday Cars.com operating as Green Motion. Upon arrival on Sunday, March 24, 2024, they went to pick up their rental car where they were advised that they were required to pay for third-party insurance for $483.75. When my parents questioned this charge they were met with rude responses and attitudes from the employees, particular comments like if you don’t want to pay for it then you can’t rent the car. For two seniors, this amount is large to have to pay on top of the initial amount for the rental. They deserved an explanation as to why they were paying this amount. They did not deserve an attitude for questioning the fee. They required a car for their vacation so they ended up paying the fee. When they got to their destination in Florida, we investigated further and noticed that at the top of their voucher were the words, 'Paid in Full.' Then on the second page, under 'Included in the price,' the first item stated, 'third party liability.' I immediately requested that the charge of $483.75 be refunded to their card and explained everything to their complaints department. The response I received from Green Motion was, “Suppliers will always offer you to purchase local services and/or insurances since this is a way of making extra income. You are not obliged to purchase any optional services and/or insurances.” As a customer, this was not an “optional” service and/or insurance as the agent stated that if my parents didn’t pay the fee they would not be able to rent the car! Green Motion’s response to this was that they didn’t know what was actually said since they were not there. Don’t be fooled by the initial low price of your rental as there will always be an additional charge upon pick up of the vehicle, leaving the customer in a vulnerable position and made to feel obligated to pay the extra fees not leaving them any other “option.” In response to the reply from Green Motion received below: The website for green motion that was noted in your reply below says "Internal Error," even after multiple attempts. I'm starting to wonder if ANYONE is able to get through on that website or is that just to make it look like they are doing something without doing anything at all for their customers???? Especially since every message to these reviews are identical with the exception of a few. I did reach out to Green Motion for this issue prior to this review and, at the risk of repeating myself, their response was as follows: “Suppliers will always offer you to purchase local services and/or insurances since this is a way of making extra income. You are not obliged to purchase any optional services and/or insurances.”

Zero stars. Bad company Zero stars! Horrible company we reserved through Priceline for a great rate at a place 'on the airport'. It was a long ride to the place which had no other customers when we arrived. They insisted that we buy more insurance in spite of having Progressive which was displayed on their acceptable insurance sign. They insisted we show our declarations page to prove we had this weird number: $300.000,000. They called it 3 hundred thousand dollars. Nobody carries that. They had us at severe disadvantage because we were in a strange area needing to get on our way. So we paid it. They charged the one other couple even more ...adding on toll charges. Don't use this Green Motion company. It's sketchy!

Do NOT rent any car with "Green… Do NOT rent any car with "Green Motion". They overcharge you $40 per day for insurance. We were three clients at the same time in their office and all three had the same issue. "Green motion" forces you to pay insurance with one of their 6-7 insurance company on top of the cost you pay online. On top of that I paid for a full size car got a Corolla, which is midsize. "Green motion" doesn't even pay for the plate sticker, it was expired and I got a ticket in a parking lot in Tampa. Do NOT rent with "Green Motion" Tampa !!!
