Stellar 5-star service ranging from… This was my second time using Ship-a-Car Direct. The first transaction was flawless and the last transaction was even better due to a big bonus! Not only did I get the exact date I needed, but I also received covered transport (a lucky match with a driver offering this service for the price of uncovered). My courteous agent delivered my vehicle within hours of my arrival. The timing was unbelievable. So, not only did I get my car picked up on my preferred day, but I also had my clean car delivered on my preferred day with covered transport! Great value, superb service, and the communication (thank you, Renee!) was out of this world! Would absolutely recommend and use this service again!

Great service, although sometimes felt down to the wire At the end of the day, the car move worked out perfectly (in our case a Honda being shipped from San Francisco to Seattle) - awesome staff on both ends, easy to pay, and more. The ship a car direct app was also helpful. Prices reasonable and better than what our movers would have charged. Only reason I went with 4 stars instead of 5 is that our 3-day window nearly came and went without a carrier accepting the order. Everyone I spoke with at ship a car direct wasn’t remotely concerned, but I think setting this expectation in advance (e.g., that 30% of cars get shipped on day 1 of the window, 40% on day 2, etc) would have helped to lower our anxiety.

My strong suggestion is to go with Montway or Sherpa. Should you decide to go with this company, make sure to inquire about the transport provider they will use. If its Highline Auto Transport LLC, avoid this at all cost. Their preference is to communicate via text rather than phone calls. Contacting the driver is an impossible task. Once you establish contact with their dispatch unit, they require you to handle the task of reaching out to the driver and organizing the timetable. They never know where the driver is and expect you find out for yourself. The condition of their trucks is absolutely awful. The lift gate, remotes, storage, are all in poor condition with wiring exposed. Those vehicles are in desperate need of major repairs. Their tone is unacceptable and lacks professionalism due to their arrogance. This brings me back to Ship-a-car-direct. They promise to thoroughly inspect the shippers so you can be worry-free. Based on the factors mentioned above, no reputable company would risk hiring this transport company. To get more proof, check their record on the Better Business Bureau. My intention is not to intentionally damage the reputation of these companies; I simply want to encourage future customers to reconsider their shipping requirements, especially if they own a luxury vehicle. After I went to meet the driver and collect my vehicle myself, they decided to reimburse me a paltry $100. Avoid at all cost. Updated : 4-29-24 I would also like to take a moment and update my review. Alex has since called me, and we had a discussion about my experience. It says a lot about the company, and their attempt to uphold the standards they set forth. While my personal experience wasn’t satisfactory, I do appreciate a company reaching out and attempting to rectify the situation. I do believe a second chance is warranted since they equally went through a bad experience. I appreciated the refund, but more importantly, I appreciated the willingness to listen. I will reconsider future transportion needs.
