Original inventor. It is actually funny the original segway was the idea of my father who was a chemical engineer and always had a lot of crazy ideas before he died six years ago. He had so many ideas that the whole family would run away from him. I told him to do humanity a favor and give his ideas for free to his patent lawyer, my father had already payented some other of these ideas before. One of those idess with drawings and all was the original concept of the segway. His patent lawyer sold many of those ideas I think mostly to the Chinese including that one. Funny enough he never got credit for it or a penny from it and all the credit went to some Chinese guy who sold it to the west.

Avoid ALL segway products Got a segway kick scooter (Model F30S) - total disaster. On a full charge, I get 7 miles (if I am lucky) (this is on FLAT terrain) Had several exchanges with segway - bottom line they said - Too bad, you bought it from some non authorized dealer (it was BRAND NEW) I had heard that segway services their products no matter where one purchases it from Wrong. I'd say stay away from Segway - I have lost trust in the company Dean Kamen founded - it seems it has the segway brand name, but else a piece of junk

Bad support Terrible support experience - I've been unable to use my scooter safely for 5 months. Took 3 months for them to produce a return shipping, it's been 2 months of it sitting in the support queue. The support staff is absolutely useless, no matter who you deal with. Segway, put your act together! I'm pretty sure it's one of the worst companies to deal with. an update as of 3/23/2022: I received a replacement from Segway, thus updating the rating to 3-star.

Worst customer service,$1100 xmas… Worst customer service,$1100 xmas present that is going onto 3 months without repair.customer servive agents will lie to your face saying they cant find emails or you have sent the same vid that clearly has a dif file number to drag things out further.Took my bike repaired nothing and sent it back not working and have now ignored my emails for 2 weeks.bike repairers refuse to answer phone or return messages .

Horrible customer service Horrible customer service! Ninebot arrived with slight leak in front tire. Bought it from Amazon for basically full price from a legit company, and they said sorry…not an authorized dealer. Then want $75 to replace the tire. Go to hell. I’ll never buy another Segway anything, and I was debating about upgrading. Sorry Segway, you’re out of that running. Never again.
