GBInflation alive and well at Quicken. First of all, I was shocked to see how much the price had increased over the past three years. I've been a Quicken user for dozens of years, and now I'm going to have to find an alternative product that I can afford. Secondly, the software has become less useful. I can only make automatic daily downloads from about half of my accounts at my financial institutions, which forces me to make numerous daily manual downloads of data to keep my account status current. The reason I subscribe now is the convenience of daily downloads of my financial transactions, and your company has forced me to RENT the software at an exorbitant rate. I won't be a Quicken customer much longer. Much of the functionality of the product no longer exists.

GBI like Quicken in general. I like Quicken in general and have been a long user. I do not like that I still have to move it to my laptop when I go on vacation rather then being able to have it on multiple computers and just do an update. I am also not a big fan of the subscription model. Might work for profits but I do not see enough changes in my version to make me happy paying every year. Maybe a listing of improvements by version would open my eyes to actual improvements. Security and bug fixes are not improvements.

GBTax Categories I don't have a business so I use Quicken more simply than others might. I like to keep track of the checking account for tax purposes primarily but also I am elderly and need the visual of the figures in one place. I also use Quicken to keep track of my charge cards and the way I can categorize all of that too for Taxes. Anyway, I like using Quicken for keeping track of my spending.

GBGreat for tracking everything I love how all of my activity (income/expense/assets/liabilities) is tracked and can be reported in various formats. One thing I need is an easy way to change the categories and memo that auto populate based on the Payee. I must have done something before to set that up and I want to undo it and/or change it.

GBA big negative is the problems my… A big negative is the problems my financial institution has every year (for several years now) when transactions can't be downloaded using Quicken Update. My credit union seems to hit a point where this is a problem that drags on for weeks and sometimes months. It's a huge waste of time and very frustrating trying to get an explanation. Neither Quicken nor the credit union provides an explanation for this problem. For this reason, I'd be leery of recommending doing business with either party for a new customer.
