No value if the selection is limited I made the mistake of subscribing to a full year of Everand. During the first month, I was only able to listen to 2.5 audiobooks (one was a DNF) I was locked out of ALL newish or popular titles until the next billing cycle despite paying for the full year. Their canned response is that one "can enjoy many other titles while waiting out the month for the next billing cycle". I have Libby and Hoopla for that, and they are free. I've also noticed that the selection of new titles has significantly declined in quality. Just today, some very obscure titles were featured as "new releases". I will not be renewing next year and will not recommend this app to others.

Initially delighted - until I found out what I actually got for my money! 😡 Excellent selection of books, but very difficult to find out what the fair usage limits are until you hit them! And I don’t actually think they’re fair at all, tbh! 😡 I subscribed on 30th March, having been a satisfied member of Scribd in the past. Not knowing what the limits were, I ‘flicked through’ several books (as I would do in an actual bookshop) to decide which ones I wanted to read… and now, only 4 days later, I’ve been locked out of most of the books I was interested in! According to my account history I have ‘read’ 19 previews (the sort of thing you can do endlessly for free, on Amazon and Kindle). And I have skim-read a total of 5 books, before deciding which one I wanted to read properly. And now, on the 4th of April, most of the books I’ve saved to read have been ‘locked’ until 1st May! 😡 £10.99 for that, then locked out for the next 26 days? What a joke! 😡

Almost worthless This once-great app (when it was Scribd) has become trash. Almost no audiobooks that I want to listen to are available anymore. I've seen too many replies to complaints like mine from the company, saying something like, "Occasionally some books may be temporarily unavailable..." That is total baloney. I will go a month without downloading anything, and when I do a search of popular authors, exactly zero books are available. I realize that streaming companies deal with licensing issues, etc. from publishers. I would even be willing to pay more upfront for the service if audiobooks were actually available. But this company isn't honest about it. I have been on Scribed for years, but that app is no more. There is almost nothing worthwhile on Everand. I won't be renewing my yearly subscription.

Do not recommend. Books are always “available soon” yet never are… As with most of the reviews on here Everand is very frustrating to use. I like to re-read a lot of books and every time I try to click on an author whose books I’ve read before it always says unavailable. For two months now I can’t access the author’s I want. Even when I do a search for known authors, the books don’t come up when I know they have titles available. Apparently they’re just not available to me. I don’t know why people would pay for a subscription with so many penalties. I tried to reach out to customer service asking why I was constantly waiting to read books and got a very long-winded and unreadable email which to this day I do not understand. Once I was halfway through a book I’m when the book became unavailable. What is that? How can you do that to people that are paying for service? One of the main reasons I was happy to pay for this was because I could read a whole series from the first book to the last. But you get one or two books in and they suddenly say it’s unavailable for another month. Just cancelled my subscription. Will be looking elsewhere for someone to take my money.

I thought that I was going to love this… I thought that I was going to love this app! It seemed even better than Kindle. That is until I opened the app today to find that several of the books I'm currently reading won't be available for 2 weeks, when my membership renews. Apparently I reached my limit. Problem being that I was given NO INFORMATION on what that limit is, or even that there is a limit! If this isn't corrected, I will definitely go back to Kindle!
