Great Customer Support! We had a great experience ordering our new coop from Roost and Root. Their customer service staff was excellent. It is rare these days to even have telephone customer support much less people who are actually knowledgeable and care about their product and customers. When we began to assemble our coop we discovered a minor flaw with one piece and some minor shipping damage to one other part. A quick call to Roost and Root and replacements were sent out that same day. They charge a premium price but deliver a premium product and service to match.

I like the overall look and design of… I like the overall look and design of the coop. I enjoyed assembling it. The hardware seems good quality. I like the integrated feed and water. I was disappointed that a few of the pieces of wood were cracked/split or staples had pulled away and the pieces had to be re-stapled. Sometimes the instructions would state to use predrilled holes when there weren’t any at that location. The tolerances for the sections weren’t as exact as I would have hoped so the unit wasn’t completely flush together once assembled in various areas. I paid for next box mats that didn’t arrive and I haven’t received word on when or if I should expect to get them. I had been hoping that by spending 4 times more than a unit from tractor supply, that I’d have a really elegant coop but I have to admit that I probably wouldn’t have purchased this one, knowing what I know now.

High quality coop Very well packaged and arrived faster than expected. Easy to assemble with instructions and some references to the YouTube video. High quality materials, sturdy wire and hardware. Nicely packaged fasteners with plenty extra for drops into the leaves. Hens are cozy and dry!

Chicago backyard 16 hens We've had hens for 7 years in Chicago, and recently expanded our flock to 16 - so, I started looking for a walk in coop that was a) beautiful and b) functional. The cost of this one was daunting, and worth every penny. The pallet fit into our garage (great delivery service) and we laid everything out and built it on one day. Team of 3. Took my hens some time to adjust, but they're now roosting and laying and happy cluckers. Hardest part was leveling the ground. We paired it with an Omlet auto door and run. Absolutely no regrets.
