GBAfter writing a glowing review of my… After writing a glowing review of my last experience with Stannah Service in Staten Island, N.Y. on April 2nd things changed quickly. I was very disappointed when my mom once again got stuck on the stairlift when it lost power on April 6th. I immediately called for emergency service and was informed there would be a $300+ Service charge plus parts since it was the weekend. Since the tech would have taken several hours to arrive I decided to hold off on service until Monday, April 8th and was told on the phone by the tech that the service charge would most likely be waived as service would be provided during normal business hours. The service tech arrived on April 8th around 9:30am and was very knowledgeable and identified a blown fuse again and several other issues that need to be addressed / replaced. I do not feel it is best business practice that I was again charged a $260 service charge fee after paying a fee less than a week earlier. If their were additional issues with the stairlift they should have been identified by the tech during the first service visit. I hope Stannah reconsiders this service fee that I was charged for the required service call less that a week after the first service call.

GBThe experience was great because the… The experience was great because the installation went well and I learned how to use the inside stairlift. Now that the weather has improved I will also learn how to use the outside lift. I am disappointed that Stannah has not followed through and paid the $200 to the person who recommended Stannah to us. GBCompany went out of their wsy to make… Company went out of their wsy to make sure the stairlift was installed prior to me getting home from rehab. They only had 3 days notice. The installer, Jose. Was very courteous and professional. He took the time to explain everything to my husband and answered all of his questions. Very happy with experience and would highly recommend company.

GBvery satisfied a tech installed the lift and seamed very experienced. he would have no way of knowing the lift had a bad mother board, because it worked perfectly before he left. within two weeks there were several problems. tech was dispatched within a day and spent several hour changing all the computer boards. The lift has worked perfectly since.Thank you from a happy customer
