HealthCrap Not sure why they sent me this survey MONTHS after I canceled my account (and after I had to get help from the fraud department at my bank to reverse several arbitrary charges they made after my account was canceled), but hey, what the heck! Here goes... Bad customer service, extremely buggy app, multiple overcharges/unauthorized charges, frequently dropped chat sessions or had them interrupted (through ZERO fault of my own), mostly crappy and/or apathetic doctors, etc. That's basically it, in a nutshell. Run! Run far, faaaaar away from HealthTap.

Its a SCAM anyone subscribing for this service , its a simple online scam. Simple model sell service to 100 and give service to 10. If you pay them money then just sit by your phone for next 36 months and wait and if that doesnt tire you out then keep sending emails for days for your refund, which you will never get back. by the way they have NO PHONE number to call, so you send emails and wait for them to reply ( if they will ) best option visit a live doc or find another online service that charges you after they connect you with a doc

Hard to get actual help Still waiting after 2 days for a response to a 'free' question. Decided to take advantage of the 30 day trial for a paid subscription for faster answers. Asked a new question and learned that a) only the primary care docs are free -- everything else gives you a modest discount. And even there, I couldn't seem to connect to a doctor. Just got sent to a list of questions similar to mine. So I canceled my free trial after a couple of hours. A question I'd asked a few months ago DID get an answer (fairly quickly, IIRC) ... which made it pretty obvious that he hadn't actually read the question since the answer was not relevant. And the 150 character limit for your questions makes it impossible to give any sort of detail, making the odds of an accurate answer even lower.

Having a regular doctor for every visit is everything. HealthTap was recommended to me by a friend last spring when no one was leaving the house. It's come in incredibly handy when I needed my son to listen to reason after an injury - won't listen to mom, will listen to our HealthTap doctor. Pretty great to be able to have that conversation at a moments notice instead of waiting god knows how long for an appointment. Since we can keep a primary care doctor with HealthTap, its not some random app doctor I send him to for this stuff - it's the same doctor every time, so he listens. As a mother of a teenager this is worth A LOT more than $15 a month to me.

Overall a great service, but beware of false advertising Overall, a great service. Free educational answers to many common medical questions, and many uncommon questions as well. Gets 4/5 stars because I've had trouble in the past with what seemed like false advertising. I purchased a premium plan based off of advertising of a free consult with a specialist, only to find out that the premium plan only includes limited primary care. I requested a refund and they did not budge even when I showed them documentation. Overall, though, a very unique and useful app.
